It’s almost too easy

Dame

for

Ingram
Jones
Daniels

That works money wise

Ant

for

An expiring and a pick

Draft

Scoot

DO NOT resign Grant

Promising

Scoot
Sharpe
Ingram
Jones
Daniels

is a nice core. Grab some size and let’s see what happens? You have your two 3 level scorers. Two great defenders in Jones and Thybulle. Grab some bigs that can score down low ant eat rebounds

I mean. Ya obviously. We have a lot on the line this draft and a bad decision could set us back years.

Agreed. Cronin should take advantage of the best move available. If a great trade for #3 is there, take it. If the best offers are like OG for #3 and Ant, then take the best player available at 3.

The 2003 draft doesn't matter.

The idea of doing something like this is very enticing to me. I'd still try to move Nurk for the best offer.
My twist is that I'm not big on Scoot, so I would try to get 6 & 11 for 3. Take Ausar & Lively, Nnaji at 23 and Sasser at 43. TOTAL rebuild with a good mix of scoring, defense, length and too much youth. Perfect!

CHI media seems to treat DDR like he is Michael Jordan lite at 28 years old in most of their trade proposals. It is amazing how much they thing they can get for him.

I have heard from a pretty good contact that Portland would be potentially interested in Ayton, but not for the #3 pick. I would likely take a 3rd team to make it work.
And other valid rumors that you can share?
Any real interest in DDR?

Apparently it's Zion. The scuttlebutt is that they want Scoot, and want to move off Zion. I just don't know how i feel about that. You love the potential. He could be all world. But his eating habits, injury history, and potential attitude about that makes me leery. But he could be Bill Walton Part Deux on the high side. Can he stay healthy for 3 years?
Is it worth the gamble. It would definitely be a chips to the middle of the table move.
No. He can't.

If Ant is just salary matching here - Id ship him off to Orlando for the #11 instead & send Gary Harris to NOP

Could we trade out #3 to NO, Ant to Orlando, re-route Zion's fat ass and Orlando's #11 to Detroit, and grab Duren, #5, and Bojanovic?

Lillard/?
Thybulle/Sharpe
Bojanovic/(Jarace Walker?)
Jerami Grant/(Kevin Love?)
Nurkic/Duren/

really no weakness to his offensive game

and remember this? during the draft when some were debating whether to pass on Simmons at 1 to get BI.

He's OK, but with his injuries you can't trust him. I'd rather re-route his skinny ass to Chicago for Derozan and get a bunch of extras.

DeRozan is going to be 34 in two months and has a LOT of minutes played in the last couple of years. I find it hard to believe anyone would trust in him, either.

Sam Vecenie is saying Trey Murphy is going to be a 30M dollar player.

But he's mostly parroting the Ingram trade scenario. Says Mike Schmitz had Ingram at #1 in the draft his year.

No thanks -- I do not want Cronin talking to the NO GM since that GM has already fleeced ( maybe not but kind of ) the Blazers one time on the CJ deal let's not give them another win via Cronin being a complete idiot.

CJ sucks so anything we got for him we fleeced the other team.

this is a rouuuuuugh watch

My problem with the Ingram trade is that NO needs to clear the books moving Ingram. Why would they want Simons? Need to be able to route Simons somewhere and give NO some expirings at least.

Send Ant to Magic for 11. Keep the 11 & send Harris to Pels.

Ant + Knox + 3 => BI + 11 + 14

Assumes Magic actually value Simons. I'm not sure that's the case.

I really want Murphy. I think you can make an argument that Murphy is the last player the Pelicans want to trade....

https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/trey-murphy-last-20-regular-season-games-and-advanced-stats

Last 20 games:

19.9 points 3.5 rebounds on 50/43/90 and only 18.6% usage. This dude would break out like Bridges with a primary offensive role and he's only 22 and on a rookie deal.

Give me Ingram AND Murphy

Theres 0% chance they do that. They have 3 starting wings - Ingram/Murphy/Jones. They can afford to lose 1 of them in this trade. I'm sure part of the calculus is that they know they can only keep two and that's why a deal is even worth discussing. Both Charlotte and Portland need starting calibre wings.

Then there's 0% chance they get Scoot and solve their cap problem with a potential all-star on a rookie deal.

Sucks for them.

And I'm pretty sure Zion plays PF

Scoot
CJ
Herb
Zion
JV

... so ...

I prefer Murphy but I'd settle for Jones
Murphy or Jones would need to come with pick 14 and a future first for it to make sense for us to give them pick 3. Actually I don't think you can trade the third pick in this draft if you aren't getting back an all star or a young potential all star and a future pick... I guess Murphy and Jones could qualify as that but really maybe both of them, pick 14 and a future first.
