Unlikely -- what the hell does that even mean in terms of a percentage cause it's not saying that the Pels have shut down Zion talks just not looking like he will be traded at this point. The same could be said about Dame but at any minute aka his trade request that could change. Also RealGM as a source -- really ? -- we that desperate for news we cling to lower tier NBA sites for info.

Smokescreen season... You must ask 3 questions when reading every rumor:

Who is making the report, who are they connected with, and why would that person want the report out?

I agree, yet certain folks get worked up over 95% of them!

Yup, they read/hear one report out of Fat Boy Windhort’s pie hole & treat it as gospel. Like, MFer… you KNOW his job is to generate clicks, RIGHT!? Anyone taking ANYTHING out of these guys’ mouths seriously right now… ummm… well, I might have a bridge for sale! You interested!?

Let's trade the #3 pick in a stacked draft for a 33 year old guy who hasn't been healthy in forever.

The Clippers were known to be gauging the trade value for PG and Kawai.....and suddenly it becomes we offered #3 for him. Hell, they were even discussing #3, SS, and Ant on the radio. These rumors are laughable.

If this draft is filled with smoke and Woj is wrong again, leading to Scoot going #2, I could see Miller falling from the #3. His workout footage did not look impressive (yes, I know he had mono and a groin injury probably isn't going to 100% heal even within 4-6 months) but his interview about Paul George being the GOAT was questionable, too. And it's not like the question framed it as between PG13 and a SG like MJ. It was between PG13 and Lebron.

And Givony stated on Zach Lowe's podcast that Miller's draft interviews didn't go so well (Givony being close to Schmitz would suggest to me that Blazers likely weren't impressed...maybe with the gun situation being a factor).

Interesting to see.

There is a lot of ridiculous stuff out there but two of the worst have been PG or KP for #3+. Those 'journalists' should have their privileges removed.

Instant Poll - What's more ridiculous:
  1. The person writing the report
  2. The people who believe the report

I am not sure what is worst, the journalist who writes it for clicks, or the fans who get worked up over it and start bashing the GM for something that never happened.

All this talk of Scoot going 2 and maybe the Pels trying to trade for #2 I thought what if the deal turned into a 3 team deal with the Blazers -- Who turns it down first ?

Charlotte Gets : Ant , pick 3 ( Miller ) , Knox , Keon and a Future 1st from the Pels 24' ( Top 5/8 Protected )
New Orleans Gets : Gordan Haywood , Little and Pick 2 ( Scoot )
Portland Gets : Ingram , Willy H and Herb Jones plus Picks 14 ( Pels ) and 29 ( Hornets ) and pick 34 ( Hornets )

This is not a perfect trade cause the more I looked at it seems like the Blazers could use a tad more like a future 1st even if it has heavy protection and maybe another player but I think this trade works for all but I will admit Charlotte comes out of this smelling like roses so they might have to give up another piece but still I think this could work for all parties.

BTW I am bored AF right now so needed something to do and this kind of thing is fun even if unrealistic and such -- LOL

I’m good with Amen, especially once we inevitably trade Dame. Ant/Sharpe/Amen with Amen at Point-Forward might work nicely. Still need bigs though.

Mostly we criticized Chauncey’s coaching, today we see how good Cronin is…. Can’t wait

That's obvious... I was trying to give a choice between two options that were a little more difficult!

Well, I don't think the people write the reports are ridiculous...... they're getting clicks, which is the whole point. They're doing their jobs and we're the ones who are giving them attention.

So option 2 is the most ridiculous.... however I'm not sure how many people fully believe these reports. We talk about them because there's nothing else to do.

Which brings us to option 3....

I think one thing and not sure I have seen this brought up at least recently is even if we do draft at 3 be it Scoot , Miller or whoever the pick is could still be traded before end of the night I believe. I do think the Blazers have some standing offers for who is there but very good chance they will need a little more time to work out any trade. I think some believe once we pick at 3 then Dame will be like screw the Blazers and demand a trade and all is lost or whatever. It's not it's just the beginning of a process that will prolly not play out fully til mid July or maybe later. I do not care if your pro Scoot , Miller or Trade I would not get to high or low on that pick until later on down the line or at least until Dame asks out cause that would mean the Blazers have made there choice. This drama will play out of over many days not one night so try not to get too up or too down but it's tough cause right now I am wired and hard not to worry but - Go Blazers and let's see what happens.
