If we like Amen and Scoot is there I wonder what Hou would give us to switch picks? I’d want Sengun as part of the deal.

Brown is starting to scare me. I have a feeling whoever is picked at 3 will be better than him.Nothing more.
I should have said 2 starsI'm confused... is Jimmy Butler the star and Bam one of the scrubs or vica versa? I wish Portland had a scrub near the level of whichever guy you're refering to.
STOMP
I think this is a win win for both teams and a good situation for Ant as well as BrownCeltics looking shaky...may get swept
how many are OK with #3 + Ant for Brown? Will it take more or are the Celtics headed for a cliff?
and how much more would be OK?
He sure doesn’t seem to rise to the occasion.Brown is starting to scare me. I have a feeling whoever is picked at 3 will be better than him.
ScootI am not sure there is even one Batman in this draft. I would argue that even Victor, as good as he could be, is not the type of guy who can take over a game. Regardless of Victor, who else is a clear choice to be the #1 guy on a team?

Great. Don’t trade the 3rd pick.Perfect time to buy low!
Great. Don’t trade the 3rd pick.
Brown has one year left on his contract. Then’s he’s unrestricted. The #3 pick for a 26 year old 2nd Team All-NBA player would be buying low.
Typically those guys are nearly unobtainable.
Brown is close to Dame. If your Cronin you only do the trade if Dame says Brown will resign.Brown has one year left on his contract. Then’s he’s unrestricted.

Wtf no lol. You do all of that and have nothing left to show for it after let say brown and dame leave. That’s horrible managementIf were mortgaging the team’s future anyway might as well do it for a rental that won’t be stuck on our team after Dame demands a trade anyway
Then your not getting him, unless you give up Sharpe.Great. Don’t trade the 3rd pick.
You cant see how its relevant someones shooting percentages are?I can't see how this is relevant in determining his potential. It reminds me of how people were using useless 3 pt stats early in CJ's 2nd season.
Scoot only took 51 3s last season. 5 more makes and he is at 35%. He is 19 years old and only played in 19 games. The sample size is way too small for any analytics to be relevant in discussing where he will be in a year, let alone 3-4 years from now.
Then your not getting him, unless you give up Sharpe.
I'd prefer to keep Sharpe over #3.
I feel fairly certain saying that if we have #3 and Ant for JB and dont accept it, dame is gonna want out

That’s not what the original post said. It said it better to trade for a rental so you don’t have to deal with that contract if Dame leaveI assume If they leave it will likely be in trade and you’ll get a nice return for both players.

Tatum hasn't shown he has that extra level. He's a quality Robin. You always seem to like to berate Dame. If Joe can add a couple nice players to this team, Dame will lead the team to get it done.Which tells you everything you need to know. Dame and Brown are not better than Brown and Tatum. Dame and Brown do not make the Blazers a contender. Making decisions to keep Dame happy vs decisions to put together the best team is absolutely crazy.
Trading our #3 pick plus a starter for a player who ends up leaving us high and dry after one season would be one of the biggest kicks in the balls I've experienced as a Blazers fan.
You cant see how its relevant someones shooting percentages are?
so if Wemby shot 20% youd say, “oh well”?
shooting percentages are pretty much the only reason Amen Thompson isnt the clear #2, because the guy cant make a 3 or shoot a FT.
furthmore, how many players could be “3 and D” but cant make a shot to save their life?
if you really dont see how someone being a piss poor shooter can change potential (aka draft stock) this conversation wont go anywhere, “3 level scorer” is a criteria for a reason.
