Voting for an awful person because of their gender?

Not good.

Why not look for a Glenda the Good instead of pushing the Wicked Witch of the West on us?

I would not vote for "an awful person" because of her gender. Sarah Palin, among others, would never get my vote. I was saying that I really am getting tired of 50% of the population excluded from high office, however.

I was talking about lesser evil for decades. Like I said, I agree. Also agree that in California and Oregon it's not really an issue. But give credit where credit is due, unlike, say, Sarah Palin, Hillary Clinton (who is not "done", she's heard that for 20 years at least!) had been an advocate for women's rights.

I vote for not evil, not lesser.

Hillary is done. Biden is going to beat her for the nomination if the old nut job Sanders doesn't.

Her "record" is just awful. As Secy of State, the stability of much of the world declined. She left it much worse off than when she started.

What else can she run on, if not her awful record?

Maybe she'll be indicted by election time, either way.

Why do you think Bernie is a nut?

Everything is a conspiracy. Congress, even Democrats, won't pass much of what he'd want to do.

That is nonsense. He'd definitely have a hard time passing anything. Gridlock! You should be all in Denny.

Google bernie sanders koch.

Pages of conspiracy theory links originated by Sanders.

Similar blather about banks and oil companies, etc.

He's got the same border/immigration policy as Trump, who is equally nuts.

Sanders' economic statements are just mind numbingly idiotic, and apparently he believes the drivel that spews from his mouth. He's got a populist appeal, granted, but there isn't enough money in the world to pay for his plans.

Weirdly, I did not find any of those. I did see where he accused the Koch brothers of being libertarians, though. That's a low blow, for sure.

You (or I, or someone) could say that about any of the candidates. Let's try a few:

Rand Paul's economic statements are just mind numbingly idiotic, and apparently he believes the drivel that spews from his mouth.
Trump's economic statements are just mind numbingly idiotic, and apparently he believes the drivel that spews from his mouth.
Ben Carson's economic statements are just mind numbingly idiotic, and apparently he believes the drivel that spews from his mouth.
Fiorina's economic statements are just mind numbingly idiotic, and apparently he believes the drivel that spews from his mouth.

Aside from the gender issue at the end, those are all just as good arguments as yours.

That isn't even approximately true.

At the NALEO conference, Sanders noted that he supported the comprehensive immigration reform bill that passed the Senate in 2013, as well as the never-passed Dream Act to provide legal status to undocumented young people who came to the U.S. as children.

Sanders said that as president, if Congress did not pass immigration reform, he would use executive action to give deportation relief to the parents of U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents and so-called Dreamers, the would-be beneficiaries of the Dream Act.

But in 2007, Sanders was part of the charge from the left to kill an immigration overhaul bill.

Back then, the Vermont independent warned that the immigration bill — a product from then-Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) — would drive down wages for lower-income workers, an argument that’s been used by hard-liner reform opponents. He paired with conservative Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on a restrictive immigration amendment. And Sanders backed provisions characterized as poison pills to unravel the bill, while voting to block the final measure in June 2007.

2. Sanders voted for comprehensive immigration reform in 2013.

Sanders was initially reluctant to support the Senate Immigration reform bill, S. 744 over concerns with guest worker programs, however after an amendment that would have provided $1.5 billion over two years to state and local job programs targeting 16- to 24-year-olds was added, Sanders voted for the bill.

Barfo's political statements are just mindnumbingly idiotic.

Yeah it does work. It's sometimes true :)

It really needs to start from the bottom. If we really want to move in a progressive, dare I say socialist direction, it needs to start with state reps, congress, governors, senators, etc.

If they aren't winning elections at local levels, how could they for president? Bernie has no chance in hell, but maybe this gives some local like minded people some steam, and they take advantage of it.

Although with giant corporate money flowing into local judicial and state Rep races even, its an uphill battle to say the least.

I think it's HILARIOUS that you are defending the Kochs Denny. They get more free money than you can shake a stick at in oil subsidies. FREE money that is just given away. So instead of complaining about how it's a "drop in the bucket". Let's stop giving them that free money.

dviss, you know, I agree with most of what you said about Secretary Clinton.

But, but, but, but, but....

44 male Presidents.
Isn't it about time?

And whatever her faults, Clinton has always fought for rights of women.
The thought of Walker, Rubio, Bush, appointing 4 Scalias to the Supreme Court is frankly a lot scarier than Clinton's flaws.
Jindal cited his state's "Heritage Law" to keep monuments to Lee, Davis, Beauregaard, and the re-establishment of white supremacy. Louisiana has no "Heritage Law".

However, we have time, we'll say what happens.
What else has she done? I hope you don't vote for people for just women's rights

This election is like this major league baseball season..nobody is paying attention

I don't think anyone should get "free" money. There is no such thing. It comes from someone's pocket.

I can't believe anyone would attack the Koch brothers and not attack Steyer and his kind for the exact same practices.

No, Denny's just making shit up. Kind of bizarre really.

Making shit up?

Laughable.

Anyone who thinks socialism works is delusional. It's failed miserably and turned into far worse where tried than any capitalistic society.

As Margaret Thatcher once said, "The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."

When you do, people line up for cheese distributions at the nearest government warehouse. And the cheese tastes like shit, if you can even get any.

EVERY ONE OF THOSE MUTHAFUCKAS getting corporate welfare are the same muthafuckas that want to cut our social safety net while simultaneously reducing their capital gains tax. Then on top of it they want to violate their 4th amendment rights by giving them piss tests? They don't' take piss tests for the free money they get from us.

FUCK every one of them.
