Wow! The second pass on this highlight is absolutely nuts. I'm still angry that we reached so far for this dude but I've watched a bunch of other YouTube highlights of this young huge guy and his feet are really nice and his hands and court vision are unbelievable for a guy his size. He also has what you'd expect from a late first round center in terms of finishing around the hoop, blocking shots and rebounding.

The guy really could be a big deal.

Jrue, Scoot
Shaedon, Tisse, Rupert
Tou, Kris
Jerami, Deni
Ayton, Time Lord, Clingan, Reath, Yang

Those are our guys that are under contract or in Yangs case have draft rights to.
Any time you can have back to back lottery picks and end up with a duo of 3rd string/5th string players at the same part time position - your doing great!

Saw a clip of our local expert with "league sources" and he really got exposed going live on YouTube. A lot of things he was near positive were going to happen, didn't come close to happening

Hey...... I haven't gone live on youtube in years!

Are we hoping for some Chinese billionaires to be bidding at auction in a couple months or something?

In a Finals where neither team needed a conventional center..... we now have three.
Yeah exactly what I posted in another thread. There are certainly teams that will go small and neither Clingan nor Yang can start. Just what the Thunder did with Hartenstein. So we have two players sharing a part time backup position with occasional starting opportunities.

Yes there will be teams like the Nuggets where both can play more. But thats by far the minority of the league.

Just such a perplexing move.

Also crazy to think that Cronin acquired two centers in the Dame trade (Ayton+Timelord) and signed another to multi year deal (Duop).

Litterally half the additions to this roster post Dame have been centers.

Schmitz should maybe find a new career. Maybe scouting just isn’t his thing.

Marang?

I'd have thought getting a 19 year old 7'2 center clearly means Ayton or Williams or Reath are getting traded...I'd have thought that would make fans pretty happy
How do you know this?

We traded Dame yet still entered the season a few months later with Brogdon/Ant/Scoot all at PG.

Correct. I would subject anyone to rewatching the entire thing, but man this guy is confident and wrong a staggering amount of times. To his credit, he can rewrite history that he was aware after the fact. That was his mistake going live though...

Part of me wonders if we couldn’t have moved down to 23 with the Pelicans for this deal? They gave up their pick unprotected next year which is almost certainly going to be better than Orlando’s 2028.

I believe it's the better of their unprotected 2026 pick or the Bucks unprotected 2026 pick; so even more valuable.

You'd have to think Yang would've been there at 23, but I guess you never know.

lol he’s super arrogant and it’s funny when he’s wrong. He was also super adamant that Ant would not be traded this offseason. Kept blabbering about how rare his skill set is and how he’s hard to replace on this team. Watching him react to the Holiday trade was gold.

I don't watch him much but I did see a clip where he was really confident the Blazers were going to extend Ant's contract this summer

Cronin asked Memphis about this and Memphis said it would be better for us to do a deal with them.

Rumors Atlanta liked him enough to pick him at 23. Would they have picked him at 13? Also some rumors the Nets would have taken him at 19.

But yeah, what NOP paid to move up 10 spots is insane.

I don't know it...it seems when you have 5 centers that you are probably not keeping two of them to me. Scoot couldn't run a team his first year, he was over his head a few months after the Dame trade and Ant never was a real pt guard. Brogdan was a combo guard as well.

I wonder how many of those rumors came out of the Blazer FO
