Breaks down the good things Yang did in game 2.

at 6:56 "You're already seeing NBA defenses change the way they play because of Yang Hansen's ability to not only score, but pass, out of high pick-and-rolls."

then there's the fantastic pass at 7:45 when the defense denies the dribble hand-off.

Yang needs to be careful not to call out his teammates for not cutting to the basket, at least until he is a vet.. I realize he does not speak English so the only way to communicate on the court is with his hands. But player do not like to be shown up. Now, granted, when he did it last night it was harmless and the player will not be in the NBA. Nonetheless I saw how the Linsanity craze affected Jermey Lin. His teammates treated him like shit. I just want him to be careful because some NBA players can be assholes.

the concern is warranted but there's a line between looking arrogant and confidence and i prefer him to err on the side of being confident at the risk of being seen arrogant. It's a good trait of a leader

I thought about that when he shoved a teammate out to defend the three. Some guys aren’t gonna take that well.

If they can't handle it I don't want them on my team.

c'mon now. He's not experienced enough to be shoving NBA teammates; the teammates may or may not be in the proper position, but for damn sure Yang is NOT going to not be where he's supposed to be pretty regularly; on both ends of the floor. I'd imagine he'd get pissed if he was shoved

Yang shoving Jrue or Sharpe or Avdija or Thybulle...yeah, that will go over well

Instead of the shove, I would have liked to see him pick the dude up and throw him on a trajectory to block the 3pt attempt. That would have been awesome.

he'd lift the guy about 3 inches off the floor and then throw his back out for 2 or 3 years

SCOTT STERLING. THE MAN. THE MYTH. THE LEGEND!

I hope someone here has seen this, because this is what that reminded me of.

This is the best pass (IMO) so far for Yang as a Trail Blazer. It's defended as well as it can be for a defender looking at the player he's guarding.

Yang did make an even more impressive pass in the combine that seemed impossible when he threw it, but this one is up there with that one.

LMA did have more all star games and all nba team nods. Without the technical headaches.
All star games are no way to judge a players value, especially back then. I love them both though for real!

@wizenheimer you'd take LMA over Sheed huh?

not a chance. But I'd take Lucas over Buck and probably Buck over Sheed. For me personally, Sheed's fucking idiotic ref-baiting and T's became 100% toxic

and as I said, I'd take Kiki over Pippen. With Dame-Clyde-Walton the Blazers have enough playmaking and passing, but they would need the perimeter shooting of Kiki

Aldridge was bitch made. I hated his sulking. All the stories that came out about him made so much sense. Thin skinned. The fact that he bailed on Dame says all you need to know. He's soft.

He bailed to be closer to his kids and for an organization thats been better than ours.

It was partially Neil's fault for not trading him for assets when he could.

I don't believe that shit. It was an excuse.

But yes, it was Neil's fault. He should have been fired for such a gross misreading of the situation.
You have kids. Imagine what it would be like living halfway across the US from them most the time. I don't think it was an excuse. Another deciding factor.

Also, the Spurs had Kawhi and still had Parker, Manu and Duncan even if they were older. They seemed like a better situation to try to win. They won 67 games his first year there.

Hes still coming back! I made a thread and everything!

If I was making that much money, they would live where I live.
