I actually just watched the video and it’s not what I was expecting… Why are you sexualizing a professional media interview?

The woman (Ling An Zhou) is a TV host and ESPN reporter in China.

This had nothing to do with any relationship between them… The fact that you took this video and made your comments speaks more about you than it does about the situation.

How did I sexualize it? I was simply stating that you have to be careful of those kinds of things as a player on the rise in fame and fortunes. She looked like she was certainly interested in him and he looked like he was very happy about her.

And I didn't hear it translated, so I wouldn't know.

All nonsense aside, it’s nice to see Yang receiving national coverage in China (ESPN China reporters traveling to portland to produce a segment on him). Understandable being that even though an unproven rookie, he’s currently one of the biggest names in Western professional sports representing his nation of China.

I said a while ago that he’s going to get a lot of attention from the overseas fan base, but it won’t really mean as much unless he starts producing in the league and showing that he has legitimate star potential. But if that day ever comes, you can expect that attention to increase 10 fold. It won’t just be people over in China going crazy over him, NBA fans as a whole will do so as well.

I hope it works out, I’d love to see it for reasons beyond him being a Portland Trailblazer. I’m telling you, if this guy comes out and has a rookie season - the hype is going to be beyond 5 alarm status. Not even the best fire department in the world could extinguish it.
