Im not sold on Grant being anything more than a good player on a bad team (much like his father).

I'm also not sure that the difference between 5 and 7 is worth giving up 7 and Simons, especially when the other end is Grant.

Grant isn't a superstar, he's barely a star. His PER is 16 (yes I know it's not the EABA), he shoots so-so from the floor, he's not going to all the sudden get better.

He's not worth giving up a lotto pick + a 22 year old player on the cusp of becoming something good.

I just don't buy the Dame/Simons backcourt, and I'd like to see them move on from it sooner rather than later. "Downgrading" (debatable) from Simons to Grant while swapping (for example) Murray for Sharpe (since it would have to be done in July) could be a good move.

Not one guy over 6'5 in any of these playoff teams backcourts. Its not about size, its about how they defend. Billups won't give them the option to be lazy defensively.

as I said, I've seen a variance of between and 1 inch and 2.5 inches. If you have a guy who is 6'6, in shoes, with that variance he could be 6'5 or as small as 6'3.5. That's just too wide a variance.

Must not be that important otherwise wouldn't they measure them barefooted?
