The Davis/Cousins experiment already failed.
Would you trade Nurkic and McCollum for Davis and filler as that would likely be the only way Pels listen

For Davis or others? Who else is available?I would be curious as to how dark the horse is. I've heard a couple of things but nothing substantial...more exploratory than serious offers so far.

Please elaborate
@yuyuza1 @blazedanugz This is what I PM'd to a poster this morning.
"....and in response to your question in the thread, I've heard there have been exploratory discussions between N.O. and N.O. but I get the feeling it is facilitory in nature or for a secondary piece and that Davis is not part of it. The couple of people I check in with didn't think from what they had heard that Portland was very serious."
In a follow up discussion with one of the people I get to chat with, he said that he believes Portland has inquired about Davis but that the conversations weren't very serious. He thought they had deeper discussion regarding ancillary pieces rather than any significant talks regarding a superstar like Davis.
there's that word again...."aggressive"
I'm aggressively cynical about Olshey so until proven otherwise, I'm assuming that Olshey is aggressively leaking that he's aggressively chasing trades in a most aggressive manner. Then, in his annual exit interview he'll say he wishes he'd been more aggressive before the trade deadline.

sigh Always the bridesmaid. Thanks for the info!@yuyuza1 @blazedanugz This is what I PM'd to a poster this morning.

Translation: Neil is aggressively targeting Tim Frazier. Hopes to lock something up in the next week.
Lol....
I take it the targets are a little more substantial than Timmy.
If true, NO should be fired imediately.@yuyuza1 @blazedanugz This is what I PM'd to a poster this morning.

If we don't get AD I hope it's because they simply didn't like what we had to offer (assuming everyone but Dame is on the table). If it is because we didn't want to risk losing him in the summer of 2020 I'm going to be pissed.@tester551 Perhaps.....but maybe his agent is telling him that there is no way he would re-sign in Portland. So then Olshey has to decide if it is worth a 1 1/2 year run for the price it will take....and whether he and the Blazers could change the mind of the player.
One thing, going to the Laker by then would mean LeBron would be nearly 36 years old at the start of the season. Is that where Davis would want to go to be with a 'contender'?
Considering who his agent is, the agent has a vested interest in getting him to LA with LeBron. Of course the agent is going to say that AD will not resign.@tester551 Perhaps.....but maybe his agent is telling him that there is no way he would re-sign in Portland.
