Exclusive Woj - Anthony Davis has Requested a Trade.

Not when his handler Lebron is VP of the players association.

I think the owners will flex their power on this one. Aside from LA, I'm not sure if there are many teams that would oppose the rule change. I doubt the rank and file players would risk a prolonged lockout over it.

The CBA expires in 23-24 season. LeBron will be washed up by then.

No. What's the point? Kyrie would leave this summer. No point for Boston to trade him either instead of waiting until the summer.
The point would be to get two young good players in Brown and Williams, and 3 first round picks, and either not have to take back additional long-term salary, or have a shot to keep Kyrie. If they wait until this summer, they'll have to take back additional 2019-2020 contracts to match the outgoing salary. Doing the deal now avoids those additional salary commitments.

Dude, there won't even be a team in NO if they do that trade you suggested.
Why would that stop them from doing that trade? If they want to move it, they'll move it. If not, they wont.

What's the point in taking Kyrie? Literally makes 0 sense not to ship him off to a 3rd team for young assets. Using Kyrie as a salary dump essentially would be ridiculous.

You talking about Boston dealing Kyrie within the next 10 days? Or NO sending him off if they took him in a Davis deal? Either way, who's giving young assets for Kyrie now, knowing that he's gone in FA this summer?

For all the talk of winning, the obvious ultimate play for AD is to get to LA. It's going to be Ball, Kuze and 1st rounders.

This does mean good news for the Raptors if the Lakers are not in the hunt for Kawhi. They just need to keep him from the Clipps.

Also probably keeps Boogie away from the Lakers next summer.

These are three trades that we can take something away from:

1. Kawhi + Danny Green for DeRozan + Poeltl (former 9th pick) + TOR 1st
Top 5 player in the league and salary filler for a bonafide, but flawed all star caliber wing plus a young big who was a recent lotto pick while also clearing Green's contract for a year.

2. Paul George for Oladipo + Sabonis (former 11th pick)
Top 10 player in the league for what became an all star wing plus a young big who was a recent lotto pick

3. Chris Paul for Eric Gordon + Kaman + Aminu (former 8th pick) + future lottery pick.
Top 5 player in the league for a borderline all star wing and a former lotto pick and a decent big man in Kaman.

It depends on what New Orleans wants to do. Do they want to stay somewhat competitive? Or do they want to completely blow it up and clear all their cap?An equivalent offer to the ones above from us would be:

CJ + Collins + Aminu + 2019 1st for Davis + Moore

CJ + Collins + Aminu + 2019 1st for Davis + Moore

Its a solid deal, but I wonder if their move will to shed mass salary and sell the team from the ownership side of things. Either way, the Pelicans should wait until the summer to make a deal when Celtics can fuel a bidding war.

Blazers need to get Mirotic.

....which is why the timing of this news reeks of collusion between Lebron and Rich Paul.

Do you think somebody from Stoke actually thinks they will ever win the PL?
Sadly, they do. In some small part of their hearts, yes.

Re: NBA teams: if us or (say) Milwaukee starts bitching, there's always a San Jose or Seattle who would pay literally billions for a worse team than ours.

I agree, but they will just spin it as "we wanted to give the Pelicans as much warning as possible to find the best deal." Now the Pels are in a no-win situation for the 2nd half of the year if they keep him while waiting for the best deal. Ticket sales will decline and the locker room is now poisoned with a dude that wants out.

I don't think it's all that poisoned. Shams reported that he candidly spoke about this with his teammates. AD has always been a stand-up dude even if Rich Paul is shady as fuck

Stoke was still in FA Cup final not more than 10 years ago. That's better than this team accomplished in the same time frame.

All the questions post-game will be about AD for the rest of the year. The media narrative will wear on the team. While the players won't hate him, they will get tired of the distraction.

NOP got intil next year trade deadline to trade him to get something for him. Who ever trade for him doing for one year rental. He will sooner or later he will more likely wind up a Laker.

@PtldPlatypus The RipCity radio people are fucking morons. Who is this idiot calling these Rose Rule thing "stupid?"
He's an ex-football-coach who is always fully on the players' side on everything. Hence, the idea that there would be restrictions on player salaries is stupid to him.

I also kinda screwed up the Rose rule info in my tweet, but I'm not gonna tell them that!!

It's not just that. He sounds so clueless about why it was installed in the first place and that the players association also agreed on it.

And now he's comparing Portland fans to abused children. I'm done listening to this fool. lol the one day I tune in to hear what the scuttlebutt is in PDX, I run into this idiot.

I'm telling you man... 1080 the fan.

For the deals I see with Moore included, switch them to Solomon Hill instead. That makes it much tougher for us to get there money wise but more appealing to them.
