This is crazy. Anthony Davis legitimately might be the best player in the NBA. We don’t have the assets to get him. CJ McCollum and change isn’t going to do it. Lillard for AD straight up won’t do it.

For player value, I completely agree.
Davis >>> CJ + Change
Davis > Dame

However, there are several situations when a player asks for a trade that they are sold for $0.80 on the dollar. This is one of those times. Portland needs to hunt through the couch cushions to find enough change for the deal.

Let’s say Portland made the AD/CJ trade and AD bounced in free agency. Correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t that mean Portland would have space for two max free agents?

Or that means they potentially have enough room to keep AD and add another maxish type player.
