Yankees need to forget about the RedSux rivalry and just slam dunk if they want to stay in first place.
Just play your game & score more runs.

Those bad Rays are destroying their opponents, both good & bad teams. They took the Twinkies to the shed
and made mince meat out of them last night...... Something no other team has done. Final: 14-3.
Looks like Tropicana Field is every teams’ nightmare this season.

These Yankees are the real surprise in baseball considering the enormity of injuries
plaguing the team. Go Yankees!

Could Dallas Keuchel be on the Yankees’ horizon? One thought.....Yankee GM would not have to give
up talented prospects for this free agent. With each passing day, Severino’s return looks to be way
longer than first thought; CC’s return may be short-lived before he again goes back on the IL;
Montgomery’s return looks to be sometime in July (I’m not going to hold my breath on this).

Big question.....how long is Yankee management willing to have Chad Green be the “opener” as
June approaches?

Thursday’s rainout is rescheduled for August 3rd. Rainout gives relief corp an extra day’s rest.

Local Bay New Nine made a huge deal about that last night. Rocco Baldelli comes "home" and the Rays welcome him rather harshly. Yeah the Rays beat the best team in Baseball yada yada. No crowing though when the Yankees took 4/6 from the local team. Right now Minnesota is top dog in a rather weak division, I don't think Cleveland may come back. Ditto the Astros, top dog in z weak division. Another thing that was brought up is though the Rays played the 1st Place Twins, attendance sunk to a new low.

Saw an article on that proposed "bidding war" for Keuchel. Remembering his remarks about the Yankees diring an interview I wouldn't sign him to a dishwashing gig at a concession stand. We all know though that Cashman is great at spending money. He (Cashman) stayed away from Harper and Machado maybe he won't avoid this one.

^^^^^I do not want to beat a dead horse :deadhorse: :deadhorse: :deadhorse: BUT....if

Cashman can get a free agent cheap, he’s all in. We shall see on “the Keuchel watch”.
I, too, do not like this guy with his prejudgment & disdain for the Yankee pinstripes.

Let’s see where Cashman’s limits are!

How huge or not is the Rays’ fan base? It must be tough that Tampa Bay fans are staying away
from watching this team. For this franchise this is a red flag moment.....unfortunately,
this moment has been going on for years!

Using March/April as a yardstick heres the Tampa Attendance Story .

Highest: Opening Day 25, 026
Highest Series (Red Sox) 21,008
Low: 8298

Last Night: Per Tampa Bay Local News 5000

Tommy Pham once called out fans in this area, fans are now seated in the lower levels to create an illusion of a huge crows.

It’s a shame that many in this lineup were not present on 10/08/18 when these Sux pounded &
massacred the Yankees at the Stadium 16-1 when every Yankee pitcher including Austin Romine
gave up multiple hits. Never have I witnessed such destruction in the Bronx. I’ll never forget the
revelling Boston demonstrated that evening. Hope Boone can imprint the wounds of that game
to the players. Kick ass is warranted!

As bad as that loss was it also showed that Severino is not the "Stopper" he is supposed to be. Kind of like Clemens in Game 3 '99 at Fenway Yanks losing 12 -3. Happ is going to have to shape up and pitch a whale of a game this evening.

due to the August 3rd Doubleheader; the Yanx and Bosox will meet 8 times in 11 days; July 25th-August 3rd. Armageddon comes in the form of another Boston Massacre???

LHP-JA Happ (4-3, 5.09 ERA/ 1.23 WHIP/ 58.1IP 50K)
vs
LHP-Chris Sale (1-6, 4.19 ERA. 1.06 WHIP/ 62.1IP 88K)

What a difference a year makes-
Happ last year as a Yankee: 7-0 2.69 ERA/ 1.05 WHIP/ 63.2 IP 63 K's

Stat of the day: The Red Sox are 7-8 in their last 15 games, and have won just one series.

Red Sox vs. Happ:
Pearce 11-35, Betts 8-39, Bogaerts 6-35, Nunez 8-34, Martinez 6-23, Bradley Jr. 3-23, Benintendi 4-20, Vazquez 5-17, Holt 4-16, Devers 4-15, Leon 1-11.

Yankees vs. Sale: Morales 11-41, Gardner 5-28, Hicks 9-27, Sanchez 3-22, Romine 3-19, Maybin 3-16, Urshela 2-12, Torres 0-8, Frazier 1-6, Voit 2-5, LeMahieu 1-3, Tauchman 1-2.

Luke Voit leads the Yankees with 38 RBIs and is batting .262. Gary Sanchez is 9-for-32 with five home runs and 11 RBIs over the last 10 games for New York.

Bogaerts is batting .377 (25-for-69) with a 1.078 OPS in 17 games since May 10 (seven doubles, three home runs). . . . Christian Vazquez is batting .378 (28-for-74) over 21 games this month, recording multiple hits in eight . . . The Yankees are 16-4 against the rest of their division. . .

Time was when I'd see someone with a Red Sox cap and I'd say "if I had a hat like that I'd shit in it". Since '04 though mouth has to be zippered. Boston has won 4 World Series to Yankees one. Yankees were swept 4 games to none in a critical August '18 Series then failed again in the ALDS. Stephen A. Smith called it right, when Kimbrel saw Stsnton at the dish in the final inning fo the final game he smiled. He (Kimbrel0 knew that the worthless fuck would strike out. This '19 Team needs to reverse course. The Boss should have fired Cashman & Torre both after that '04 loss.

Costas & Kaat calling tonights game. Kaat stated that either he or Costas could hit one over the Yankee Stadium "short porch". In checking Kaats record he totaled 16 home runs in his career. I wonder how many were hit in Yankee Stadium!!

Every Yankee success in their 3 run inning was downplayed by Costas. What a fucking dick head!!!!!!!!!!
