I'm increasingly intrigued by Jeff Taylor. Could he be a cheaper Harrison Barnes? He registered the same vertical reach as Robinson, Festus Ezeli and Terrence Jones. He's also supposed to be a great defender. He's supposed to be going to the Thunder just because most mock drafters think he's a steal.

Of course you are, he's from Europe.

That he's not as one dimensional as people thought?

For me it was a few things. He tested out athletically way better than most thought, and some scouts have attributed his numbers to the NC system.

What about the combine shows that he isn't one dimensional? He doesn't create for others and rarely creates for himself. He could easily be better than Martell, but their games are the same.

The combine, for me, showed that he is a lot more athletic than originally thought. Again, for me, that shows that he will have enough athleticism to create his own shot. Might be one of those NC kids that are better in the pros than at NC

It also could be that he measures and plays differently. Roy was athletic, but didn't necessarily use his athleticism as a tool. Barnes could be the same, since he never showed that ability at UNC.
I am ok with him at 6, said so previously. I just find it slightly amusing that once he was able to run and jump well, you began liking him, though he did nothing to answer your initial fears of him. Just that now he has a number at the combine better than others.

Davis & Rivers draft for New Orleans would be a great draft for them IMO....

I like Rivers a lot and think he is going to be a good pro....

It will at least put some buts in the seats in New Orleans for a couple years.

Drummond seems to comp fairly well with Deandre Jordon doesn't he? Both 6'9.75" barefoot. Both have 7'6" wingspan. Drummond is a bit heavier, with a shorter standing reach. Jordan is faster in the 3/4, but slower in agility. Jordan was a slightly better rebounder as a freshman, but slighly worse shot blocker. Both are horrendous free throw shooters.

Glad they are looking at all these guys. I still hope they secure another first rounder and get Moultrie. He seems like a good guy to have on the team, and has a nice mix of solid numbers now, with some upside potential.

Olshey's 1080 Interview
Trail Blazers Blog

Biggest news from the interview:
Like I said, we'll do our due diligence, we're doing our workouts, we've got a tone of film and background information, physiological, we've done all the live scouting, we've got the analytics. Right now, we're just kind of digging in. At least now we're kind of comparing apples to apples. We've funneled it down to probably three or four guys at each selection and we're going to look at the best aggregated results in the organization between the two picks."

From the highlights he looks like a raw Jason Thompson.
Good rebounder with good range. Has a similar game to LA I feel like, but could potentially play C. I reallllllyy like him if we had another pick from 12-18.

I'd rather go with Andrew Nicholson if we had another pick in that range. Money post moves and a wet jumper don't come naturally for bigs like it does for Nicholson.

Oh I'd be happy with either really. If we were able to land either Nicholson or Moultrie I would be completely fine with letting Hickson go and featuring them as a big man off the bench.

I like this idea.

Instead of using a lotto pick on Moultrie, you can get Nicholson in the late first round.

Now, getting a late first rounder with our lack of assets will be tough...

Up means what?

Kinda hard to say with all the smokescreens.

But going by what you read online I'd say Olshey would probably like to leapfrog Detroit with that #11 pick to #7 /#8 for Leonard.

Haynes has been saying for a week that Meyers would go top-9.

Sorry - end rant after some stupid slutty 10-year old with her mom rammed my car with her cart and when I got out of the car, she was like, "uh...... .....uh..... Sorry.....".

I pray forbetter future (sorry - the real end to my rant).

If POR trades up for Leonard then they are fucking idiots....

Hell, if they draft him they are dumb enough as it is....

This is nothing to get worked up over.

Smokescreens, hypotheticals, smokescreens, hypotheticals....
