Not entirely true. I guarantee Olshey could've gotten Burks or Shumpert with the trade exception if they really wanted to add all that tax for a crappy player.

Olshey would get an extension for that trade. Ducking the luxury tax would be a nice thing to accomplish both because I'm sure Jody would rather not pay it if she was keeping the team and if she is planning on selling the team the extra savings is nice. We have too many rotation players with Hood in the mix now.

No worries, just making sure I got what you were saying. I agree he probably couldve gotten a bad player or at the least taken on a bad contract. he touted it for a year though like he was going to get someone meaningful out of it and didnt.
