Would you do Harkless and a 1st for Skal and whatever ends up being their highest 2nd? Currently we'd be moving down 15 spots for the salary dump. We'd duck the tax, clear up the rotation, and possibly free up the Full-MLE this summer.
rather do Hark and a 1st for Mirotic and not worry about tax this yr

I am so out of the loop, but I thought you could only trade players individually after a trade like they did?
No, you can't "aggregate" the salaries of recently traded for players in order to match incoming salary.

Guessing the CLE-HOU deal is multiple ones. They can't be traded in a combo

Trail Blazers trade rumors: Portland pursuing Nikola Mirotic, Taurean Prince at the deadline, per reports

Thoughts?

2nd article down, just posted.
https://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/...view-tv-channel-how-to-watch-live-stream.html

at this point, so many reports, articles, rumors, and blogs are just regurgitating earlier reports, articles, rumors, and blogs which were regurgitating even earlier...etc

it's almost impossible to gauge if something is new.

with Harkless, Layman, Turner, and Hood I don't know why the Blazers would be still interested in Prince, even though he would fit into the TPE. Mirotic makes a little more sense but he almost is just a stretch-PF version of Portland's redundancy at SF. Everybody seems to want Harkless shipped out, but still, the Blazers would be loaded at those stretch positions, and with Mirotic on board, then Aminu and Zach are competing for minutes

sure seems like Portland should be consolidating somewhere

I still keep thinkin Detroit would want to move Blake, maybe another from outta nowhere trade?

I think Dame-Griffin-Nurk would be a much better trio than Dame-CJ-Nurk but I'm convinced Olshey wouldn't trade CJ. I actually wonder if Olshey would even trade CJ for Davis, if that was what NOP wanted

no way can Portland afford Dame-CJ-Griffin-Nurk

How scary is it that this is a legitimate concern?

My "realistic" hope:
POR Gets:
Otto Porter Jr, Ian Mahinmi
WAS Gets: Meyers Leonard, Evan Turner, Seth Curry, 2019 & 2021 POR 1sts
SAC Gets: Maurice Harkless

Washington gets a good backup guard in Curry (they need one, Satoransky can be the backup SF behind Ariza), a much needed upgrade at backup C (Howard is hurt and all they have is Bryant and Mahinmi. Also get two picks and get below the tax line.

Sacremento gets a much needed SF for a 2nd round pick.

Then Portland signs Wesley Matthews

Lineup:
Lillard (35) / McCollum (13)
McCollum (21) / Matthews (23) / Hood (4)
Porter Jr. (33) / Hood (15)
Aminu (28) / Layman (20)
Nurkic (30) / Collins (18)

I love this.
