It's scary how alike his career has been up to his point to Zach's. Let's hope Collins improves fasterLooks like Thon Maker has requested a trade, any interest?

Well there are some serious questions about how old Thon really is and this is his 3rd season but I can see some parallels. I wouldn't mind taking a cheap flier on him and Olshey was allegedly interested in him before his draft. It's scary how alike his career has been up to his point to Zach's. Edit: The only problem is we can't really provide much more playing time.
If he's not happy playing for one of the best teams in the NBA I doubt he'd be happy getting Meyers minutes here. I could be wrong but I don't think our situation is that much different as he has been given lots of chances to establish himself in the rotation. They can if they trade Meyers
I just wonder if we'd get cut out, and they'd do a simple Maker- prince swapThon could probably get more PT on a team like Atlanta, what about this:
Atlanta gets Turner, Stauskas (or any throw in), Thon Maker, future Por 1st
Milwaukee gets Dedmon and Swanigan (or any throw in?)
Portland gets Taurean Prince, Jeremy Lin, Jason Smith, and future Mil 2nd
Certainly possible. I read a Bucks forum quite frequently and they seem to want Dedmon more than Prince because of team needs. Just about every one said they would trade Smith and Maker for Dedmon and a small salary going back.I just wonder if we'd get cut out, and they'd do a simple Maker- prince swap
The Knicks would most definitely reject that. Why would they (a rebuilding team who wants cap space next year) want two average role players, an additional $8M in salary next summer, and a pick in the 20s for a guy they took at #9 last year and a good role player?I’m interested in adding Knick SF Kevin Knox to Dame, CJ, Nurk and Collins.
Aminu + Harkless + our #1
For Knox and Kantor
And if we can find a trade partner for Leonard, let’s get that done! Leonard & Simons for Green of Memphis?
Turner won’t go anywhere in my opinion.
I would really like getting those 2I dunno what happened to the trade ideas thread, too lazy to look, so I'll use this one. All the same basically.
A buy low target I'm interested in as a Turner replacement with an outside shot is Denzel Valentine from the Bulls. Out for the season, so wouldn't be useful until next year, but could provide us what Turner does, and can actually make a 3. They're not going to be interested in Portis as a RFA much either, with WCJ and Markannen, so I wonder if there's a way to get the pair?
Ya because the guys not developed yet and has potential. That is how this team rolls though.I’m interested in adding Knick SF Kevin Knox to Dame, CJ, Nurk and Collins.

Get Mirotic to Portland. Give them Leonard, Baldwin, and our pick.
Holiday is too small to play SF. He would get killed by George, KD, LeBron, etc. While Anthony Davis is the pipe dream, on the presupposition that he is traded and we don't have the chips to get in the game, I wish we could get Jrue Holiday.
Multipositional, incredible defense, decent shooter. He was a killer in the playoffs last year. I don't see it with his big contract and the team's current ownership situation, but his character and backcourt defense would be a huge upgrade for the team. Wish we could pull off something like Holiday for Aminu/Leonard/Harkless/picks? It'd be a salary dump for them, and drop a shitload of dead weight for us. If they get other picks for Davis this may be a start over move for them?
Lillard/Curry
McCollum/Stauskus
Holiday/Turner
Layman/Turner
Nurkic/Collins
with sprinkles of Simons/Trent
I’m not big on Maker, guys probably 25 years old already. Seems to have all the tools but can’t figure out how to use them. Just my opinion.
How the hell is Morey gonna add another star? Here’s a question, with the AD to LA talk picking up again what do we do if AD ends up with Bron and GS keeps Durant(and the rest)? In that scenario do we really have a shot at even a WCF over the next 3-4 years?
When I factor in Den and the fact I think Morey somehow lands another healthier star to pair with Harden I think the answer is No unfortunately.
Why would GS eant CJ? They have no kneed for him.And that wouldn't be good for us, since we have no Big Man coach who can coach him up.
What is everyone's thoughts on getting Draymond Green?
I have mixed feelings about it:
1) The guy is a absolute fucking headcase. BUT.....he has an attitude that I think would benefit this team greatly. And he could mentor up a guy like Biggie.....that is worth its weight in gold.
2) A lot of people here say he's overrated. I don't know if that's just down to a dislike of the guy or GS, but I think that is total and utter horseshit. He's no LeBron James, but I absolutely think he's elite, with obvious flaws.....his biggest of which is, as I mentioned, the fact that he's a headcase, and thus: not a natural leader. He also gets frustrated easy, and that affects his game.
Is he worth the trouble? The constant technicals, the hissyfits.......I hesitantly say "yes", however, I am very apprehensive. I think our Defense would get an immediate improvement, and to my knowledge he's not too shabby in the passing game either.
I say......McCollum, Moe, and Turner, with possibly a first thrown in. Too much? Too little?
Our lineup(s):
Dame/Curry/Simons
Nurk/Leonard/Collins
Green/Collins/Aminu
Layman/Trent/Green
Aminu/Green/Collins
(Feel free to juggle these around; I don't have our roster in front of me atm)
That would give us a starting lineup that is a terrifying threat at the 3, and a big threat in the paint. Not to mention the Defense to go with it.
I don't think Green is going to be in GS's long term project if they resign Durant. They don't get along, and people seem to like Durant better (gee, can't imagine why.....).
What do you think? And full disclosure: I don't follow GS, so I don't know what their cap situation is, or if Green is even healthy at the moment.
Why would GS eant CJ? They have no kneed for him.

The way Trent has been playing I the G League, I wonder if he's the more attractive piece over Simons.
