Both Deandre and Wessy will be waived I'm guessing.

At this point, I'd sign them just to prevent either from going to GS.

Big fucking deal. Still a ridiculous steal for Dallas. They have a year to make Luka and KP work.

The Knicks drafted Ntilikina ahead of Dennis Smith!

Yeah it doesn’t matter. They basically got KP for next to nothing.

There is still a week till the deadline geez

The Knicks could be staring at $74.6M in projected cap space for next season. That would be good enough for 2 max slots.
Such a massive risk though, but they might end up with the #1 pick and 2 max slots.

Using their one star to dump salary in hopes of signing FAs is just crazy given their ownership and how the league views them. Last time they had space, they dropped 70 mil + on Tim Hardaway Jr. Either they know something, or this is the Knicks being Knicks.

We really did not have any way to get on that deal though, why are people complaining? We could never give Knicks what Dallas gave them which is virtually cap space for next Summer and may have been the only thing they were interested in.

Deandre Jordan and Dennis Smith are solid players .....if you value defense. Smith was just a bad fit next to Luka
I highly doubt they will keep Deandre even for this season. He and Wessy will both be buyout candidates.

They drafted a PG one pick before Smith just last year! And then stuck him third in the rotation among their PGs to play Trey Burke and Mudiay instead. Such a stupid team.

While that is mostly true, there are ways around that if you are creative, like trading CJ to a team with expirings as a 3rd team. Would've been tough though.

Yes, but I don't think trading CJ for essentially a year of KP is all that worth it.

Yeah. We used up all our cap space with marginal players and taking on bad contracts. All that's gotten us are first round knockouts. If you don't think big in this league you go home. You can't be afraid of risk.

I’m not mad Olshey didn’t get in on this trade, I’m mad more trades continue to happen and he continues to do nothing. I can’t even know that hes doing his fucking job when we haven’t made a legitimate move at all in years

Mason Plumlee for Nurkic and Collins...that is pretty legitimate
