I live in Salem....I'd hate the commute
besides, I'm already an asshole online...but it's a hobby. I don't want to jeopardize my amateur standing
It all makes sense now

Not exactly, from what I have read.it’s been reported no C’s are off limit in AD discussions.
I'll try this again, because I don't think the question was answered very clearly. This is basically a yes or no question.
Do you think that a core of Dame/CJ/Nurk gives a better chance at a championship than a core of Dame/Davis?
If it doesn't get us a championship, then no.
Well with all the if's a lot of "pundits" think this is GS's last year that at least one or two of them will be gone. If that happens next year AD / Dame could win right they'd have just as much a shot as a lot of the other teams out west.
Well cousins is almost definitely gone this summer, Klay or KD or Draymond I dunno even just one of them leaving at least means their sort of beatable again. Also as much as they stomped everyone the last couple years Houston could argue they may have beat them if CP3 stays healthy (which he never does).I can't answer this any more simply for you:
Dame/Davis doesn't get us a championship. I would LOVE to have Davis, but not with the risk involved by getting him. It's too big. Keep what we have as much as possible. Put CJ up with other role players and picks, but not Nurk. We can build around Dame and Nurk better than just Dame (assuming Davis walks).
Hell, if nothing else, we get a better draft pick.
Personally speaking, I think it's horseshit. I think GS isn't going anywhere. I think they're going to stay at the top of the pile for a while; several more years at least. Even without Durant (assuming he goes elsewhere), they're still a dangerous team.
Everyone was flipping out earlier this season when they dropped to 3rd or 4th in the West, but not me. And surely enough.....best team in the West, and looking at another Championship run.
Davis has had his fair share of injuries. Lots and lots of them. If i'm NOP I don't play him again because all it would take is one severe injury and suddenly they aren't getting as good of a deal. It sucks for AD and is a very shitty thing to do but if you want to do what is best for your team then its garaunteeing a maximum return for Davis.I feel like NOP is using Boston as a bargaining chip. They can't trade Davis to Boston until the summer, and I have a feeling they don't want to risk holding onto him. He's healthy, he should be playing.
Mostly because GS/LBJ and because we'd still have assets to add to Dame/CJ/NurkInteresting perspective. Pretty sure I disagree, but I appreciate the direct answer.
GS could be without 2 of 3 players next year between Durant, Cousins and Thompson. I think Thompson will stay. At least 1 of the remaining 2 will be gone IMO.

You don't remember Houston being up 3-2 in that series then CP3 wasnt able to play games 6 and 7....?Was CP3 healthy last year against GS? I don't remember, but if he was, then even Harden and Paul weren't enough.
I'm not sure though why any of those guys would leave Golden State. Money? Durant to the Knicks, for instance.....that's the end of his championship goals for sure.
I think Draymond and Klay are going to resign. And it's a good possibility that KD just might as well.
Even if Cousins leaves, that still leaves them as likely the best team in the league. I still feel like we would need more than AD/Dame to beat them.
Could we add the appropriate players around those two to make a run? Judging by what I've seen since Dame was drafted.....I'm not confident in that.

Where then?I think the Pelicans move Davis tomorrow, but not to LA. No..I’m not saying he’s coming to Portland either.
I think that either AD/LeBron or AD/Dame (plus the buyout market) would give the Warriors some problems... more importantly in the 2019-20 season when Golden State may not have KD or Klay. You seemed a little snotty in your original post, I responded in kind. But that's besides the point.......AD/Dame cannot win against GS. Period. It doesn't take a genius to see that.
And if you don't believe me......then let me ask you this: do you think AD/LeBron can win against Golden State if Davis does to the Lakers? Because nobody with half a brain believes that either.
It's going to take more than two elite players to win a championship in the West.
Where then?
Look, if we're stuck with the Turker/Harkless/Leonard tumor for the rest of this year and next, we might as well go all out since Dame/CJ's contracts expire a year after. There's no realistic way I can see us upgrading otherwise.
Neil, is that you? Get back on the phone!
Philly can't trade their 2019 1st because they gave up their 2020 1st in the Tobias trade. I don't think they can reasonably afford to sign Butler and Harris this summer while also adding Conley.Philadelphia trading Fultz, Z.Smith, Redick, Korkmaz, and a 2019 1st for Conley makes a lot of sense for both teams IMO.
Fuck NO! We should be getting two 1st rounders in that trade instead of giving one up.I saw this somewhere else, and the initial thought was "are you kidding me?". But the more I thought about it, I think it has some legs.
Harkless/Turner/1st for Wiggins
Wiggins is clearly not a 1A ball handler, but he won't need to be that in Portland. No, he will never live up to that contract, but the Blazers don't need him to with Dame/CJ/Nurk. We need to consolidate some of our large contracts and Wiggins is better than all our wings. We don't need him to blow up, but if he can get to how he was two years ago that would be enough. He's only 24.

Yeah mixed up which year they still had a 1st because of the Miami pick.Philly can't trade their 2019 1st because they gave up their 2020 1st in the Tobias trade. I don't think they can reasonably afford to sign Butler and Harris this summer while also adding Conley.
Id trade Nurk, he’s a very solid player and I love the offense going through him. AD’s legitimately a top 5 talent though (at least in my opinion), perfect solution I wouldnt want to Add Nurk but if thats what it took I would do it.
Apologies all around if this has already been covered - tonight, someone named AtlBlzr posted the following in the comments of a BE "Blazers Express Interest in Mirotic" article:
"Be ready for tomorrow. Don't know who's coming back but we have a starting PF that's packing his bags."
He goes on to say the PF was drug testing and canceled a scheduled public appearance. Anyone familiar with this person? It it likely legit? You think this means Chief is likely gone tomorrow?
