When Matisse got pulled early in the game and wasn't on the bench I thought, he's been traded, then he came back.

just got home...looked at the box score....blazers lose by 16 to the Spurs....yikes....no Brogdon - Grant 10 minutes - Scoot 6 minutes....I'm afraid to ask...injuries?...impending trades?

If you're watching the post game... we're really lucky to have the world class Neil Everett calling those highlight packages that the possibly world class @THE HCP puts together. Neil is a lot of fun to have in the studio.

As far as the game goes, everyone besides Ant seemed like they were playing the second night of a back to back that went into OT the night before. I get that we were short handed but those guys that rarely played didn't look outclassed the looked gassed.

40 and 10 from Ant!

The Nets and Raptors coming after the Blazers.

if you want to guess at the biggest predictor of future wins/losses it's the net rating. Blazers have the 4th-5th worst net rating. That's how the Pythagorean
wins are calculated

according to that, Portland should have 11 wins but they have overachieved at 13. Meanwhile both the Nets and Raptors have underachieved by 3 wins. That's why the lottery race is kind of close

anti Tom Habberslow complex stat of the night:
the Spurs 6'5" SF Keldon Johnson had 16 rebounds off the bench. Subtract Walker & Ayton's 21 combined rebounds... Keldon Johnson had as many rebounds as the 10 other Blazers that played in tonight's game (16)

We had 7 players who went 0 for 16 on threes, Murray the worst at 0 for 6.

And he didn't look good doing it. He looked like he was taking warmup shots.

When that's one of the best parts of your game, this was troubling. Not so much because it was a bad performance physically, but it showed some of the traits I would expect to see in a player who wasn't a hard worker. Most players I know in Murray's shoes would come out and play with extra energy because getting opportunities is so rare. Other than the baseline dunk, he seemed pretty disinterested.

Impending trades for more injured players ....

Kris Murray, 1-9 POS. What a waste of a draft pick.
A bad game, let alone from a rookie shouldn't be labeled a waste of a pick.

He is still shooting 37% from the 3 for the season and that is after his 1-9 on 3’s last game, before that game he was closer to 39%.

He still doesn't look like he'll amount to much. A lot of guys can stand in the corner and knock down 37% of their 3s.

I would say it makes a difference if you are 19 or 23 in this league. Scoot being 19 seems to get a lot of leeway. Murray being 23 already might beed to be looked at differently though I'm not really sure there is much more experience overall?

I hate the spurs. I hate the spurs. Man they luck into the best players. Wenby is no joke. If he stays healthy….

it’s going to change the league from a guards league to a big man’s league. We need to draft big and long to negate him. Or try to. Fuck he is gonna be sooo good. did I mention I hate the spurs?

are you talking about Murray?

he's shooting 37% on overall FG's; 29.4% on three's

now, the sample size is really small. He's 15-51 on the season. Before the 1-9 last night he was 14-42 (33%), so last night's bad shooting game knocked his conversion rate down, a lot

I'm not sure what to expect from Murray. He shot 313 three's in college, from the considerably shorter college 3pt line, and only converted on 34.8% of them. 313 is a pretty big sample size. He also shot under (barely) 70% from the FT line. Those kind of marks aren't always predictive, but they are predictive enough of the time to not be dismissed

as for his draft slot, I'm only seeing a couple of players taken after him that are doing better than Murray and that the Blazers would have wanted. And Portland already has one of them: Camara. The other is Trayce Jackson-Davis but he was the 57th pick so no way he's have been a 1st rounder

Spurs never bothered me for some reason. They just kind of are there, even when they won championships and had a dynasty they were never annoying or bugged me like the warriors or heat.

The spurs fans though....

It’s all about them continually getting the best big men in the game. Robinson, Duncan, wemby…

I hate them. Lol
