Bad coaching, but fuck it, just a summer league game. Hope Scoot is alright, that's the most important thing.
How was this “bad coaching” . There is literally maybe 3 NBA players on the roster. Coaching has NO impact on these games I promise you.

so, ESPN hyped the living shit out of the Wemby/Spurs game and it's a giant stinker so far. Teams have combined for 26% shooting and 49 total points with 4 minutes let in the half
You think that they were hyping the quality of the game or just tune in to see a generational talent make his debut. I promise you that YOU are the only person on earth tuning in to see a properly player game of basketball.

Jesus god almighty, would you stop your condescending act for one night?

this place has been through the ringer this week and your jabs are neither witty nor useful.
Homie you shared a tweet from some random chic saying we won’t miss Dame. And you expect that just to fly without comment? Get over yourself.

So my last comment on a meaningless “game” of basketball. Shae is obviously a better player with Scoot not on the court. Discuss.

Disappointed in Badji, Rupert, and Sharpe thinking he's Matt Bullard and deciding not to play until mid-4th quarter.

nervous about scoot

Sucks to see the injuries

Scoot did as well as I thought he would but Blazers are straight up going to regret not selecting Amen Thompson. All of his moves, his IQ, his poise, his speed, his defense....those are the parts that will translate from the Summer League into the NBA. It's much more difficult to find a wing/forward who can do what he does while a small point guard that can score is relatively common.

By that, I mean to say that I seriously believe Joe Cronin fucked up a roster that would've kept Dame happy. Yes, Dame would've been throwing a tantrum but as Portland waits until the deadline for a suitable package, Dame would've found Amen a perfect fit next to him, Ant, and Sharpe. Grant would compliment that, as well. With three shooters on the court, Amen would've had so much space to attack the rim. On defense, Grant and Amen would provide the exact defense Portland needs. POA, wing defense, switch defense.

I don't think people in this forum understand just what Portland lost out on.

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Shae has been way too passive when he’s playing with guys that he sees as being on his level or above.

I don't think he was passive at all when it came to looking to score, with or without Scoot, and I'm not worried about him. But he's settling for the jump-shot way too much and at times seems to have a bit of Nurk/Meyers in him, in that he's a little too concerned with looking cool, instead of just playing basketball. But I think he can outgrow that.

You are forgetting or omitting that Dame the point guard, who is not a big player, or great defender, has yet to be traded.
We will have to wait to see what the Trail Blazers get in return.

our resident basketball genius is dropping pearls of wisdom. better listen to him or he'll talk down to you.
See the funny thing is, I don’t come on here claiming to be a basketball genius and that I’m always right. I love the game and talk about it.

You are one of the most negative fans I ever have seen, on or off line. Give it a rest dude.
The coach was blamed for this loss. I’m simply placing the blame where I believe it belongs. How is that negative?

I disagree completely. HCP is probably in the most-know on this forum, and he keeps it real. He's also one of the few posters here that doesn't hide behind a avatar pic and name. I realize you're new here, but know what you're saying before you say it.

I liked Amen a lot as well but I think calling Scoot a "small point guard that can score" is disingenuous. He IS a small guard that can score, but it's more than he's the guy that can serve as the engine of an offense. As in, he can be your number one option, run everything through him, kind of player. Think Amen can maybe get there too but I have a harder time seeing it with him than with Scoot.

Both players need their shot to come around in order to not become a liability off-ball. This is more important in the playoffs, but I think Amen's shot is currently a lot further away than Scoot's. If they can't shoot, then you have the put the ball in their hands, and currently I think Scoot is more dynamic with the ball.

Wouldn't be mad with Amen though. Amen/Ant/Sharpe makes a lot more sense than Scoot/Ant/Sharpe.

I don't hide behind anything either friend. More than happy to put pics of myself on here, but all I have ever seen of him is posting negativity and like he is some kind of insider. Maybe I don't know him as well as everyone else does, but that's just my take. Maybe it will change which will be fine.

Regardless, I'm just gonna focus on the Blazers from now on, not go back and forth with some dude their is a 99.9 percent chance I will never even meet in real life.
