if multiple 50+ losses last year didn't...
losing by 40 at home to a team missing its best player this early in the season is a little different from our tanking.

no fight either.

the bizarre deni benching was a dumb decision. the team is playing like billups has lost them.

Agreed.

What is happening? Getting destroyed by this team of like 3 centers and 1 1/2 guards…like being blown out by the globetrotters or something. What the hell!?!?

Completely forgot about Cole.

Three sons from the 2000 team are playing better than anyone on the Blazers right now.

Ok, maybe not Cole. He's dropped off the face of the earth.
You'll get reacquainted when he's the player we get back from Orlando for Anfernee.

I assume you mean the Washington Generals.

The front office has no intention of winning games this year.

This is probably the worst ran franchise in the NBA.

Even the Wizards understand the tank and are starting and playing big minutes to all their youngins
And they're actually competing! And the guy picked with OUR 14th pick is going to make all-rookie (and compete for ROY).

It's almost a 40 point game, and they're talking about plane tickets.

And honestly, that's more entertaining than the style of basketball the Blazers play.

At least last season it seemed like the team was fighting for Chauncey. Certainly early in the season. Right now it looks like nobody gives a shit. There's no effort.

This is embarrassing

yes we all know that.

but he is a lame duck coach on a team that looks like it has given up on him.

Oh, I wasn't disagreeing with what you said. Just saying that the front office doesn't care if the team is tuning him out, it gets them the results they want.

Disagree. There's effort (on some players' part) but nobody seems to know how to play basketball.

Lazy Jodee will probably hire Jesus the Toilet Cleaner to be GM next so she can pay him minimum wage and not have to be bothered conducting an actual search.

Hire Mike Rice Jr to coach, just to abuse the players for awhile...

Everyone scoffs and laughs when our bench is in, bitches and conplains, but wants them to start, when we trade away other starters?! Haha

if the team has given up on him, the desire to lose this year is irrelevant.

Do we have to lose by 30?

Nope, which is IMHO, on the coaching staff. It's not that they lose, it's how they lose.

And this team already is phoning it in.

But I know Danny and the people working for the team will say they're tired, or young or whatever BS they have to spin.

Memphis is missing like 5 players, and still pasted the shit out of the team.

If we had an expansion draft I'd be hard pressed to pick eight players to protect.
Funny exercise

Scoot
Sharpe
Camara
Rupert
Clingan
Duop
Murray
Deni

I'm afraid we might be stuck with the Ant Grant Ayton trio for a long time.

Call me old-fashioned but usually teams EITHER play the vets OR play to lose. Somehow we manage to do both at once. Sadly we don't manage to develop the young players, but then maybe playing for Chauncey isn't the way to develop.
