c'mon....you want to START the season with buzzkill? That's unlikely.
No, I'm being realistic so that I don't get buzz killed.c'mon....you want to START the season with buzzkill?

Stability does not resolve mediocrity.
New York Knicks....check em outStability does not resolve mediocrity.
I don't feel like we have such a MEDIOCRE roster right now.....Stability does not resolve mediocrity.
Dude come on... we were 41-41 lol that's definition of mediocreI don't feel like we have such a MEDIOCRE roster right now.....

half that was with Mason as the go to guy in the end game....that's not the team we'll showcase this upcoming season..we're going to be deeper and better..we played the warriors tough with Nurk for one game....I like our chancesDude come on... we were 41-41 lol that's definition of mediocre
We were better but we also had the element of surprise on our side with NurkicAnd what were we with Nurkic? Or does that not matter?
The west is a god damn arms race right now. If you're not trying to get better, you'll fall behind. Granted some of that improvement can come internally, you should still always look to make deals to make you more talented.Stability does not resolve mediocrity.
We were neck and neck with the Warriors the last month of the regular season with Nurk....and it wasn't just him...Vonleh, Napier, a lot of guys stepped up to make the playoffs....that's the core of what we've added to....not the pre allstar game roster at allWe were better but we also had the element of surprise on our side with Nurkic
Trader bob didn't have to pay guys like Allen Crabbe a chunk of the cap to keep though.....money has changed quite a bit since he was around hereThe west is a god damn arms race right now. Trader bob got us the closest we have been to a championship by finding those transactions.
We also had a fairly favorable post all-star break schedule. We were neck and neck with the Warriors the last month of the regular season with Nurk....and it wasn't just him...Vonleh, Napier, a lot of guys stepped up to make the playoffs....that's the core of what we've added to....not the pre allstar game roster at all
All i'm saying is he had the balls to get shit done.Trader bob didn't have to pay guys like Allen Crabbe a chunk of the cap to keep though.....money has changed quite a bit since he was around here
I wish we gave Turner a 1 yr/20+All i'm saying is he had the balls to get shit done.
I don't have an issue with crabbe's resigning. His cap hold was nothing so it made sense to let him sign the offer sheet while we tried to use our cap space. The evan turner deal really pissed me off. I would have rather not used it than to sign that dude.
Were the youngest team, but that's because we had guys like Connaughton and Layman (who will never develop into good rotation players) instead of valuable veterans. Blazer fans are always overly optimistic about the players they do have. I'm not buying it.sure bones....this is where you lose it...sorry...I've seen many, many versions of the Blazers...we're the youngest team around....Vonleh is going to be a really good PF whether you think so or not. Sometimes you have really good takes on things....recently I think you're getting a bit over the top ...but it's all good. Enjoy the puzzle...might want to rethink calling these guys trash, horrible, not NBA players....news flash, they are NBA players and young
It's such a different era now with players joining forces to make superteams...trader bob was ahead of his time but really an instant gratification junkie....not a lot of future development in his game planAll i'm saying is he had the balls to get shit done.

Dude, when the fuck did I say that? Don't put words into my mouth...What's not realistic is to think we're instantly going to win it all next season if we sign Crowder and if we don't we'll suck...I don't buy any of it
yeah...like CJ sitting on the bench for 2 years....Blazer fans in my view Bones are all over the map about players...and not really always anything in particular...there's usually a common scapegoat like Felton or Meyers or Claver or somebody to bash...we watched the last core play half a decade together...this is a new era....I see where it's headed and it looks promising..if you want a superteam of allstars this year, you'll be disappointedBlazer fans are always overly optimistic about the players they do have. It's kind of what you've been doing dude.......you called it passion, I called it panic attack....don't tell me Noah Vonleh and Chief are not NBA players and expect support....perspectiveDude, when the fuck did I say that? Don't put words into my mouth...
It definitely is a different era, but dude got the last superstar for us in trade even if it was an aging Pippen. Having Pippen join us was amazing. One of the happiest moments i have had as a blazer fan. I thought nba championship all the way. It's such a different era now with players joining forces to make superteams...trader bob was ahead of his time but really an instant gratification junkie....not a lot of future development in his game plan
I can...I'm as happy about Dame and Nurk as I've been about a roster since the promise of Roy and Oden....the stretch between was tough ...to me after Nate, the Stotts Olshey era has been headed in the right direction....2 2nd round playoff appearances for the first time in 14 years.....I'd say it's a promising eraIt definitely is a different era, but dude got the last superstar for us in trade even if it was an aging Pippen. Oden also made me feel that way.
Can't say Olshey has given me those feels during his tenure. It's been a big bag of meh.
We are going to be fighting for a 6 to 8 seed at the moment. That isn't promising to me, it's purgatory. Other teams around us are all improving, other than the jazz.I can...I'm as happy about Dame and Nurk as I've been about a roster since Roy and Oden....the stretch between was tough ...to me after Nate, the Stotts Olshey era has been headed in the right direction....2 2nd round playoff appearances for the first time in 14 years.....I'd say it's a promising era

Don't forget he could flip those guys, like Rider and Jimmy Jackson for Steve smith. That was a hell of a trade.Traded Bob took gambles on guys with character issues and players who were past their prime. He would take Larry Sanders, Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley types. Hope that sprinkling in some sanity could get those guys in the right direction. I wasn't a huge fan of Trader Bob's ideas. But, something has to be said for getting us within a quarter of the Finals against a stacked Lakers team with two top 15 players of all time.
