if you google charlotte hornets roster, it comes up with new orleans pelicans roster instead.

what the fuck google, my boner is dying.

Howard looked like he was going to be THE Superstar center in the league. 3xDPOY, 2009 Finals appearance, dunk champion. Now no one wants him (except Jordan, I guess) and he's not THAT old, is he?

This looks like a salary dump by the Hawks, possibly becoming a player in the FA market, and going young at the same time. That's if they decide against re-signing Millsap to another contract.
They only cleared like $9M.

The free agency craziness from last year makes it viable strategy for teams with cap space to now accumulate serious assets for just taking on bad deals. Nets basically got Russell mostly for taking Mozgov contract - expiring Lopez has low value and no. 27 is probably even less valuable than that.

Teams like Kings, Nuggets, 76ers and Nets could get a number of pick and young players just through this. Surprised 76ers did not get involved in the Russell deal. They could have sent Okafor, two second rounders for Russell and Mozgov.

The Atlanta Hawks are looking to find a suitor to sign and trade for Paul Millsap. Suns, Kings, and Nuggets are options.
That would be amazing if the Blazers were able to pull that off. Problem is that they'd need to be under the tax apron for a S&T deal to be legal, and at the moment they're not even close.

For those claiming that our team's luxury tax position is a non-issue until the repeater tax kicks in next year, THIS is the type of problem that that these albatross contracts create right now.

How much are you willing to pay a 32 year old Paul Milsap? He will want more than he made last year which was over 20 million.
I don't think he is a good fit anymore, especially since Atlanta does not want a big contract back.

Agreed. Unless we are able to land George or Butler, I don't see any point in getting Milsap.

Agreed.

If we did trade for PG though and shed salary to get under the tax so we could do the sign-and-trade, Millsap would be great. That would be 5 at least borderline all-star talents.

I'd rather try a sign and trade for Ibaka though.

Despite all this chatter I don't think porzingis will get traded. Less than 1% chance it actually happens.
Even with his apparent attitude issue with the Knicks, I think I'd rather try for Porzy than PG at this point. Let's con Phil into taking Crabbe/Meyers/Aminu/Picks.

I think Ibaka extends at Toronto and stays there.
