1 year, is a quarter of 4 years. Or 1/4th. Or 25%.Its not remotely the same
Thanks for that. So what does Philly getting to the cap floor with a 1 year contract tgat hurts nothing, have to do with Crabbe and Turner1 year, is a quarter of 4 years. Or 1/4th. Or 25%.

Well let's be honest, anyone puffing about Neil not making a move yet probably isn't thinking too hard about it anyways. It makes much more sense that we would be active later in FA when players can be had at what we can offer, or as you said teams are looking for a consolation prize.Gut feeling, a big if at this point though, teams looking to add Free agents (Nets, Suns) might strike out and feel it's better to trade for an over paid youngish player (Crabbe, Meyers), than to strike out completely.
To say the Blazers are done and set on day 2 of free agency is a bit premature.
Neil did shit the bed last offseason, I understood the Crabbe and Harkless contracts and I convinced myself that the Turner and Meyers deals were fair market value but holy shit...
That's what I'm hoping for. I'm hoping Brooklyn will want to roll with a Allen/Leonard Center rotation.Gut feeling, a big if at this point though, teams looking to add Free agents (Nets, Suns) might strike out and feel it's better to trade for an over paid youngish player (Crabbe, Meyers), than to strike out completely.

Just gonna throw this out there:
Greg Monroe and Spencer Hawes are almost an identical match in terms of salary to Meyers, Aminu, and Davis.
Monroe would be a great one year placeholder
We would have apx. $10M in cap space next year if Lin opted out. That's with Harkless and Crabbe still on the roster.Who would say no?
BKN Gets: 2018 1st, Vonleh, Aminu, Turner, Leonard,
POR Gets: Booker, Lin, $17M in savings.

Well we'd protect it as much as we could.I would be very hesitant to trade our 2018 pick at this point. With the west getting much better I could easily see that being a lotto pick.
Why? We get better in the short run and gain a lot of flexibility as soon as next year. Trade Davis and we'd have a Full MLE this year.Portland.

That's a terrible trade for Portland... unless we are tanking for Lotto.Who would say no?

Man... that team is so bereft of talent, I'm not even sure we would get anything useful out of them. It would be purely a salary dump.

I don't think they want Turner.Who would say no?
