Young is a good defensive player and averaged 11ppg last year on 53% FGs and 38% 3pt.

He's extremely underrated.
He was an okay defensive player last year, never was a good defensive player in Philly, Minny, or Brooklyn. He shot 38% from 3 last year but that was his career high by a HUGE amount and a player who has been in the league 10 years and has been shooting about the same amount of 3's that entire time just suddenly shooting that much better doesn't have me convinced he will sustain that, I think he will dip back down to his career average of just under 33% next year. Young also shot much better from 2 then he normally does as well. Harkless shot 57% from 2 last year and 56% from 2 the year before that, higher then Young has ever shot, and if Harkless can continue working on improving his 3 shot he will only get better offensively.
I would rather keep Harkless and give him whatever minutes we would give to Young.

I have predictions for 16 different signings and 7 different trades. Lets seem how many I can get right! What's your predictions? Which one of these seems most likely?

MY FREE AGENT PERIOD PREDICTIONS:
SAN ANTONIO
trades L. Aldridge to MIAMI for T. Johnson, 2020 MIA 1st
- Miami's plan will be to trade for Aldridge to try to convince Hayward to sign, and then that might convince Wade to sign after he is bought out. This would give them a starting lineup of Dragic/Wade/Hayward/Aldridge/Whiteside
- San Antonio does this to clear cap space. They trade Green to BKN with T.Johnson replacing him, giving them $50M in sap space.
SAN ANTONIO signs G. Hill, P. Gasol, and James Johnson
- They boast a starting lineup of Hill/T.Johnson/Leonard/J.Johnson/Gasol
BOSTON signs G. Hayward
3-TEAM TRADE: BOSTON gets: P. George INDIANA gets: M. Harkless, A. Aminu, N. Vonleh, M. Smart, 2018 POR 1st, Picks from BOS, PORTLAND gets: T. Young, J. Crowder
- Boston has a starting lineup of Thomas/George/Hayward/Johnson/Horford
- Portland has a starting lineup of Lillard/McCollum/Crowder/Young/Nurkic

WASHINGTON trades I. Mahinmi, M. Morris, J. Smith, 2018 and 2020 1st to L.A.CLIPPERS for Blake Griffin (S&T)
TORONTO trades J. Valanciunas, L.Nogueira, J. Poeltl, 2019 1st to L.A.CLIPPERS for DeAndre Jordan
HOUSTON trades Ariza, Gordon, min. salary players, 2020 1st Round Pick to NEW YORK for Carmelo Anthony
MINNESOTA trades R. Rubio, G.Dieng to NEW YORK for Eric Gordon (from HOU)
MINNESOTA signs J. Teague, P. Patterson
- MIN Lineup: Teague/Butler/Wiggins/Patterson/Towns
MIAMI signs D. Gallinari after missing out on G. Hayward. They also sign JJ Redick.
- MIA starting lineup: Dragic/Redick/Gallinari/Aldridge/Whiteside
CLEVELAND signs D. Wade
HARDAWAY, PORTER, KCP, and NOEL all get contracts over $20M per year.
DENVER signs J. Holiday
DENVER trades K. Faried, D. Arthur to BROOKLYN in order to clear cap space to sign P. Millsap
Denver Lineup: Holiday/Harris/Chandler/Millsap/Jokic
TORONTO resigns Ibaka, Lowry

2017-2018 Conference Standings Predictions:
WEST: 1.) Warriors 2.) Spurs 3.) Rockets 4.) Blazers 5.) T'Wolves 6.) Nuggets 7.) Thunder 8.) Grizzlies
EAST: 1.) Celtics 2.) Cavaliers 3.) Raptors 4.) Wizards 5.) Bucks 6.) Heat 7.) Hornets 8.) 76ers

My Prediction:

The team will for the most part be exactly the same and your house will have several more holes in the walls as a result.

Here's my prediction: We sign Mo Williams to a tiny deal using one of our exceptions and that's it.

How much do you think Taj Gibson will sign for?

Gotta give you credit for working your imagination so hard!
I just started looking at them. Seems as if Clippers would be very fortunate to even get Jordan and Griffin to agree to S&T (or is Jordan just a straight trade?) much less get that much of a haul.
I have a different opinion of Anthony's value. Would be surprised if Knicks got any one of Ariza, Gordon or a first round pick. Maybe Ariza but I think he is a better all around player than Anthony., and younger and more reasonable salary.

I doubt that Pat Riley would want a loser like LaMarcus on his team.

Sorry I don't have the energy to make my own predictions; I know it's not fair to criticize and then come up with no ideas of my own.

Imo houston should make a play for aldridge. I could see san antonio taking ryan anderson and a future 1st for aldridge at this point and i think he is a better fit for that team than melo would be.

Lma would need to play d'antoni's center position which would be a problem though.

You haven't heard the rumors of him getting bought out? He opted in to get bought out.

Bucks won't be top 3 if Toronto gets D.J. and Washington gets Blake.
He specifically said he was opting in for the money. He wouldn't get the same amount if he was bought out.

He'd get close. I believe he was opting in to get the money by being bought out so then he could go ring chasing.

He'd get the money and be able to play with the Cavs or whoever.

I don't think SAS would take that contract. I think SAS would trade him for cap space and a pick.

Jordan is a straight trade.

Houston has to make salaries match, and it would be a bad move, but I could really see it happening.

The idea that Thad Young brings us closer to championship, or is worth any remotely valuable package, is bonkers.
If you don't want a two-way PF that shoots an insanely efficient percentage from all over the floor, then fine.

Wed have to trade Harkless to get Crowder. Young and Harkless don't play the same positions.

It comes down to Young vs. Aminu and I'd take Young every day of the week.

Crowder and Young would be fine additions but I don't like giving up both Harkless and our first to get it done.

Would have to give that much up for Crowder at least.

Maybe, but I'm not sure how much leverage they'd have in those trade negotiations if George+Hayward is what they're going after.

They'd be trading Crowder to Indiana in any PG deal. We'd have to deal with Indiana for Crowder, not Boston.
