Congrats Brandon, You mean a lot to this organization

Point guards Deron Williams(notes) of Utah, Chicago's Derrick Rose(notes) and Boston's Rajon Rondo(notes) will make their All-Star Game debuts next month in Dallas, sources said Thursday.

Williams, Rondo and Rose top the list of reserves chosen by the league's coaches to participate in the Feb. 14 game at Cowboys Stadium. The names won't be made official until Thursday night, but Yahoo! Sports has obtained the list of reserves.

Besides Rondo and Rose, the East roster includes Boston's Paul Pierce(notes), Toronto's Chris Bosh(notes), Charlotte's Gerald Wallace(notes) and Atlanta's Joe Johnson(notes) and Al Horford(notes).

The West includes the New Orleans' Chris Paul(notes), the Lakers' Paul Gasol, Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant(notes), Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki(notes), Memphis' Zach Randolph(notes) and Portland's Brandon Roy(notes).

Among the notable candidates left off the team are the Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Kaman(notes), New York's David Lee(notes) and Denver's Chauncey Billups(notes).

ZBO!!!!

Errr....I mean NBA All-star ZBO!

I can just picture it now:

[Scene 1 opens upon Zbo and one of his bitches rolling a fatty blunt]

Bitch 2: (walks in with surprise) Zbo! I just heard you made the All Star game!

Zbo: I did?! You know what that means!

Bitch 1: Already on it. (pulls out the hash)
[End scene 1]

[Scene 2 opens upon Zbo naked being shaken by Marc Gasol]
Marc: Zachary! Where were you? You missed our All Star Game!

Zbo: (pulls Marc in to hug) Ooh baby I like when you don't shave... WAIT I MISSED WHAT?!
[End scene 2]

Im kinda happy for the guy, ZBO is dumb as hell, but he was always funny and cool, i dunno i never really had a problem with him, then again i never really had a problem with Wallace either

like i said zbo over la

with zbo on this roster we would have 4 more wins easy. zach can score when u need a bucket. la runs away

Yea a lot of folks have problems with players lifestyles or attitudes. I could give a rats ass. Folks ran Wallace out of here and then he went on to win a ring in Detroit as a big piece of that team, and now is a big piece on Boston. I wish this team had more nasty on it. Nasty players who are smart enough to keep a lid on it while in public.

Needed more for him than just Frye and Fernandez, i think?

He also plays no defense. None. He also doesn't rebound on the defensive end of the court. Folks seem to forget that.

We have players who can make up for that. Its not like he's getting dominated by his man night in/night out.

oddest snub is horford over josh smith. don't understand that at all given smith has seniority and a much higher PER.

wow rondo is an all star huh?

slim pickings in the east?

You seem to ignore the facts. Aldridge's defensive rebound% is 19.8 (easily a career high). Randolph's is 21.7 (3rd best in his career). So, actually he's a better defensive rebounder than Lamarcus Aldridge, who doesn't bother to rebound on either end of the court.

And his alleged 'bad defense' is probably the most overhyped non-thing in the league. He's certainly not great, or even good...but his defensive rating is just a hair below Aldridge's defensive rating. And not that blocks is a sign of overall defensive ability, but how on EARTH can it be that Zach and Lamarcus are averaging the SAME number of blocks per game this season? Both have 20 blocks in 44 games. That's just so ridiculously hard to believe. Zach is 2 inches shorter and can't jump over a phone book. I'd say that both are roughly average defensively.

I've always liked Zach as a player. He gets more out of less physical ability than probably anyone in the league. Clearly he's worked hard to get where he's at. I wish Aldridge would work that hard, he might be an all star too.

sad day for la...

zachs an all star before him.

knicks and clippers must feel as bad as we do for trading him

Many thought the 48mil contract Miles signed was bad,

the 65mil that LMA just signed could be just as bad

if he stays healthy not a chance. doesn't mean he won't be considered overpaid, but miles was an epic fail.

I actually hope he chooses not to play.

I agree 100%.

What kind of selfish dick would sit out games for his team, and then miraculously be able to play in the all-star game? It would be a slap in the face to the fans and his team-mates.

Assuming that Brandon's still having problems with the hamstring by then, I'm sure both he and the team would agree with this sentiment. On the other hand, if he's recovered and is back playing for a few games before the All Star Game, it would be a slap in the face of the fans that support him and the coaches that choose him for him to pass on the game.

Why the heck do some of you always seem to be ready to jump all over the Blazers and their players for perceived offenses that haven't even happened yet?
