On its own, this a horrible deal for the Lakers. They're giving up two versatile All Star level big men for a little guy with bad knees. The Hornets got the best out of this. They got Dragic, Kevin Martin, Odom, Scola, and a pick! That's a playoff level starting lineuP!

That lineup is nothing special.

Man I don't know what to think. I feel weird about the league basically being pressured into not doing it, but I also feel weird because it was a horrible trade from a talent point, considering the Hornets were going to end up with Scola, Odom, and Martin and one first and one second.

I don't know if I'm happy or frightened. Could this mean a deal with Orlando was in the works and stern didn't want the heat for it? I think I would rather only Paul and okafor head to la then Howard for just Bynum and artest.

The sad thing is, I thought LA had the bad end of that deal. Unless they had some plan to land Howard too with their remaining pieces, and everyone knew it, the owners just did something stupid.

And Stern acquiescing on that shows weakness.

I think the owners knew of a Howard deal and flipped their lid. This might be bad news because Howard might still be a laker. Also a sad day for cp3. Basically no deal can be made until they find an owner. I guess you contenders that want Paul better shave some salary because you won't get him unless by free agency.
