Chris Paul is NOT a Laker . . . FML

 at the Clippers having an entitlement complex.

It's because the owners don't want Paul traded. They want to resell the Hornets and they have more value with Paul than without.
Ya but if Paul is not traded, he will bolt next summer. Everyone, including potential owners, know it. I doubt they'd be more valuable with Paul now.

And lose $40m in the process.

His only hope is to either re-sign (ha!) or a trade. But he acted like a typical AAU brat and started demanding.

Where is he going to go? What large market team will have enough cap space to afford him? I love what the NBA is doing. They are using Paul as an example. No player is going to dictate where he's going. Not even Howard, hopefully...

Good point. I agree.

A gem from Lakersground.net:

THIS WHOLE SITUATION IS BS!
CP3 AND DWIGHT OR I SAY EFF THE NBA FOREVER.

Entitlement complex much?

They also lose their second best bench player in Shannon Brown.

More Walton and Ebanks for the Lake Show.

^I swore I saw that Walton is retiring because of his back.

Kobe will slow down. He has 40145 minutes played under his belt. To put that into perspective, 18-year vet Mutombo played 36000 minutes. Kobe is an old 33.

I'm not sure I buy that theory though. Kobe's best season was at 27 years old, or his tenth season in the NBA.

Age is much more important in predicting future production.

Did I just hear on nba.com tv David Aldridge that Portland shows interest in cp3?! Um do we have anything to even offer? Is he just talking out if his ass?

What was said exactly?

Broussard said that they are talking to the Clipps again and something could get done as early as Tuesday.

Yes Aldridge confirmed but said it's highly unlikely. Aldridge basically said NO is wanting three things. 1.) reduction of salary, 2.) youth, 3.) picks. Clippers aren't willing to give up the picks. It was really weird because they were just talking about Clippers and Lakers, then out of nowhere Aldridge says Portland shows interest.

How much is the league pass this season? Hope it's pro-rated!

I really don't know. I've stopped looking after the 6th year I got it. Remember I'm from L.A. area. The only way I get to see Blazers is ordering it. So price is not an issue to me.

Wallace (1yr left), Felton (expiring), Camby (expiring) Oden (with his birds rights), and our unprotected pick for CP and Okafor?

Then amnesty Roy and get Landry.

Would be sick.

Throw in Batum and Freeland and I think it's a fair offer. You have to factor in what the ownership wants. David Stern obviously isn't budging.

They'd probably want Batum for sure. He is the youth. Felton and Camby (the savings), Oden (I just might think they would take that risk cause they just want Oden to succeed). I think we could pry Okafor too even without Wallace.

It would be definitely a "WIN NOW" mode cause we just closed window to about 3-5 years.

All we need is another player with red flags about the long term future of his knees. I'll pass on CP3 as crazy as that might sound.

To be honest, I actually agree with you. I don't know if my heart can accept another star player going down like Roy.

Yeah, but we really don't know how bad it is. Roy's knees were degenerative.
