I’m so worried about the ability of Joe to get fair value for a top 10 player, that right there tells you he sucks.

What he didn't preach against joining super teams? He didn't say he wanted to be the best blazer ever. It is a business I Get it, but he talked out his ass for years and does exactly what he said he was agasinst.

I meant on the super team stuff. Who knows where he actually goes.

Loyalty needs to be a two way street and our organization fucked him on that.

Unpopular opinion: great day for the Portland Trail Blazers

but it's just a start, now we need to maximize the trade, don't send him to Miami, send him to the franchise with the better offer

Scoot+Shaedon+the return from a Lillard trade

GREAT START to a rebulding unlike when Aldridge left

I'm shocked....really didn't expect this today at all but it is what it is...better get a boatload of assets for moving him. Thanks for the memories! CJ was right all along

Did I miss something CJ said?

I wonder if this has been known for a while and something is in the works.

Next course of action is to ship out Nurk. Guess you keep Ant until his contract is up which is looking like a great contract right now.

Firstly, thank you Dame. You were a great representative for the Blazers and the city of Portland.

Having said that, loyalty only goes so far. It’s a reminder that people will always choose what’s best for them first. I hope the Blazers remember that moving forward.

We have two cornerstones in Scoot and Shae, plus the potential assets from the Dame trade.

This was for the best, and thankfully we’re in a good position to turn the page.
Scoot and Shae will be going elsewhere before their rookie deals are done.
Especially from this point on this team is a junior training ground for young up and comers.

It's only a great day and start if the assets are worthy.

I have my doubts.

Miami is not a super team cause Butler is good and has his moments but he is starting to show his age a little and Bam is good but again not a mega star this is what we should have given Dame in Portland but for whatever reason it never happened. I have my thoughts on that but not going to dredge up the past cause we are where we are.

oh stop it
we don't need negativity

they get to start now without Dame

it's their team

do you think they'd prefer to ride the bench with Dame on the team?

just stop it

There goes the Blazers. Get ready to suck for the next decade.

So glad we chose unproven, 19-year-old, Scoot Henderson over Damian Lillard

What a franchise!
I know bro but let’s just hang in there and see.

Gonna suck playing against Dame. I think I’m gonna have a nightmare about him 3-peating or some ish.

Young players and draft assets. Fuck you Cronin.

I mean that is the way you have to go in losing Dame. Also, the non quote of him needing at least a Draymond player is looking pretty accurate today.

I'm sorry, I know you're happy but you are the LAST person to tell someone to stop being negative lmao

They all leave eventually.

Finally! We can move on. Dame thx for the memories and I wish you well. My only issue is did we know Dame would do this before the shitty Grant signing? or do we want a vet like Grant onboard? And does Grant really want to be here for 4 or 5 yrs as we rebuild?

It really sucks to see Dame go, but Scoot is legit. Sharpe has endless potential.

We finally picked a path.

Now it's up to Cronin to build around these two young stars. Hopefully he can get at least some value out of Dame. Watch our two guys dominate SL in a week. Everything is going to work out.

Small markets are just that in this day and age.

He said Dame wouldn't start next season as a Blazer if he were a betting man

Ah yes thank you. I mean, it wouldn't surprise me if he had already made his decision then. Hadnt he seen Dame just a couple days prior to that comment?

This is the day i can tell you my negativity was right
10+ years of Dame gave us NOTHING really worth, just some emotion in the first round

NOW i can be positive because there's a new promising path

It’s better at least then when Aldridge left for nothing.

Brooklyn makes the most sense for us, question is do they want him? Or are they good on trading for 33 year old super stars.
