I know baseball is the focus of that other thread, but the Ducks' squad is also in the playoffs. Though that could be over this morning-- they face Louisville in an elimination game at 9am today. Go Ducks!

They just didn't have enough today.

Wholly fuck what the fuck was that. It looked like they were trying to intentionally walk him but the ump kept calling strikes. Like he was basing the call on the location of the catcher instead of the plate. I have never seen anything that egregious.

Appears Ducks lost a good one.

Oregon men’s basketball is losing one of its 2022 recruits.

Dior Johnson, a four-star point guard who signed with the Ducks in November, decommitted from UO and was released from his national letter of intent on Thursday, a UO spokesman confirmed.

The No. 7 point guard and No. 37 overall prospect in the class of 2022 in the 247Sports Composite, Johnson committed to Oregon last June. At one time he was a five-star prospects and the No. 1 ranked point guard and No. 13 player in the class

This young man seems like a diva. I heard on the radio yesterday that he transferred high schools 10 times.

Kid sounds like a head case. 10 different high schools in a 4 year period and now has committed and de-committed to 2 different colleges.

I talked to somebody, about 10 days ago, who is secondarily connected to the Duck basketball program. He said that Altman liked Johnson, a lot, when he committed months ago. But in the time since had slowly soured on Johnson's skill, development, and especially attitude. This last Duck team had some divas on it that sunk it's chances. Apparently, Altman vowed to not have those kind of players again...he didn't want to have to manage and balance egos and attitudes again like he did this last season. And he thought that Johnson was looking more and more like he fit into the diva mold the more he saw of him and the more he talked to him

my "source" told me that Altman would be happy with Johnson de-committing, and that he might even be encouraging it. Will Richardson deciding to come back for his senior season seemed to finalize the de-commitment.

PG Johnson backing out comes right in the heels of PG starter Will Richardson deciding to return. Dior didn’t want to be a backup, he wants to go to the League. If it’s either or for 2022-3, Ducks got the better one. Hopefully this doesnt affect Kel’el who is said to be a friend of Dior.

QB recruiting is coming to a head. Jaden Rashada is expected to commit elsewhere when he announces next week. However, the Ducks are trending in the right direction for elite Michigan prospect Dante Moore and it's looking like TAMU vs Oregon. Also Kansas 4* Avery Johnson is visiting next weekend with the boatloads of other elite prospects.

'Lieutenant Dan' is definitely hitting the ground running from a recruiting standpoint. Hardly missing a beat from Cristobal....hopefully with better actual coaching.

Mookie Cook decommits.

Huge loss for the Ducks.

I’m wondering if the Zags are in the mix

might be the best pro prospect to ever come out of the PIL
