Wasn't just the fanswhat was the word? nearly?...I honestly don't remember. I didn't cherry pick, at least not intentionally
I know I praised the RoCo addition (thought two 1st's was a high price) but condemned the Jones signing. Neutral on Giles. I was fine with Kanter. It was certainly a better off-season than the previous one. But still, I thought the roster was nowhere close to being a contender. It was basically, more rinse/repeat so I wouldn't praise that
and again...what difference does it make if a bunch of fans thought it was a great off-season? What counts, expectations or results? Is Dame's attitude right now informed by September predictions or June's record?
privacy and relaxed media being near the top.
Wasn't just the fans
there is a fishbowl effect, yes.Did you honestly say that Portland has a "Relaxed Media"?
I'm not sure I agree with you there? Maybe some are relaxed because of the dispensaries but this town needs another pro team to report on.

no, im only showing you that the story on Olshey changed pretty damn quickly over the past few months, while disputing your claim that the praise for him came only from "a bunch of fans. It's OK to admit a mistake in here, btw. Not sure why people are so hellbent on claiming they're always right.well, congratulations....you've made a list of people wrong about the team
I added the last part as an edit.having lived in major cities the majority of my life, Portland media is nothing comparatively speaking. There’s only one Clownzano in Portland. In LA multiply that by 10. Hope the Blazers players appreciate how good they have it.
do you think State Farm insures Chris Paul's house?

Which was my point in the first place. Many people thought we had a good offseason. This year, that story is completely forgotten.
Doing a commercial and actually sitting across from someone and trying to sell them something are two completely different things. It's not the same world. It's not the same solar system. It's not even the same universe.
yeeeeesh....it was a joke NB
Many people thought we had a good offseason. This year, that story is completely forgotten.
The funniest part of this is that this deal was an accident. Olshey was prepared to trade Plumlee for Jahlil Okafor before Denver panicked and threw in the 1st.
The best trade Olshey has made here: an accident.
Maybe it was more scheme than personnel?well, congratulations....you've made a list of people wrong about the team
So much this. Even then, Olshey raved about the pick that was acquired much more than he seemed overyly hyped about Nurk.
Then Nurk went 'Nurk Fever' for a short stint and it seemed like we really might have something on our hands.
Haven't seen Nurk Fever since.
Also, it wasn't just some fans. It was damn near everyone here who thought we had a good offseason last November.

I figured you were gonna say "Say Less"Be funnier!
This dude is about to run out Dame and our shit ownership is gonna let him.Neil to Blazer fans this summer:

“RUN IT BACK!”
Presti had the right idea for a small market team. Acquire talent through the draft. I may be wrong but I feel like he traded Harden because of $$$ directions from the front office. He got back Kevin Martin who was a good player and multiple picks in that deal. Obviously not what you would want for Harden but better than nothing.Im all for a GM change if we can get the right one.
Ive wondered for a while now why it is people think Prestie is such a great GM? Under his management they've lost Harden, Durant & Westbrook, plus gets kick out of the playoffs, but yet he survives?
Yeah, how many more years will that bright future take?Presti had the right idea for a small market team. Acquire talent through the draft. Also, look at him now. Dude is sitting on a billion picks. They have a bright future again.
I would take Presti in a second over Olshey.
If he isn't going to use his future picks to surround dame with another all star he should. Making the playoffs isn't good enough and shouldn't be good enough for any team. At least Presti is trying. Got closer doing it his way than Olshey has. Neil is content with 1st round exits.Yeah, how many more years will that bright future take?
Its easy to have garage sales for picks, Im sure Neil could take Presties route and liquidate for picks and that bright future.
