First Round Game 4: Blazers @ Rockets Thread

Scola needs to stop being so hesitant and shoot the open mid-range jumper. The Blazers' shotblocking has done a good job of putting off Houston.

I'm terrified of players like Von Wafer and Brooks just going batshit in the fourth because of our very suspect defense. That would open up things for Scola and he wouldn't be as hesitant I think.

I'm 70% sure Houston will lose. If we're down 3 with 6 minutes to go, it's almost a guarantee that we'll go dry from the field. It's so hard to win 2 in a row.

No ticky tack fouls early in the quarter plzzzzzz

The Blazers confidence is sky high right now. That's the most important thing.

3rd quarter:

blazers 26
rockets 14

blazers winning rebound battle

outlaw is making shots

roy is perfect at the line

The one thing I don't like how Oden is getting reffed is that when he is fronting Yao, Yao holds Greg's arm and turns away from Greg and the foul goes on Oden. Seems like that has happened a couple of times this series. I wish the refs were looking for that.

How many fouls do we have left to use between our centers? 4? We'll need them.

Portland is flat out not allowed to use any part of their bodies to guard a 7'6" 330lb robot. No, we can't use our hands. We can't use our hips. Our arms, our feet, our heads, our pinkies. Doesn't matter. We as much as touch "the golden robot," "the ratings machine," it's a foul. Period.

I don't care that we're ahead right now. I may have to give up on the NBA all together. It's wrestling.

Travis just has to keep rebounding and taking smart shots. If he's open for a three but feels a guy coming from behind him he needs pump fake and let that guy fly by him rather than dribble into double coverage.

That's Nate's job. So far, he's been absent in that regard.

I don't feel comfortable unless Roy is in there.

Houston got lucky. Scola travelled in the post.

so someone tell me why we got rid of Wafer. He's making our shooters look average.

Geezum..Von fucking Wafer again.

Can somebody please fall on him?

Scola reminds me of Vlade Divac.. they both should've gotten honorary suitcases from the NBA for how often they travel. Scola has a nice outside shot but travels nearly every time he dribble drives.

Dunno if you're being honest or doing it just to antagonize Blazers fans at this point. Considering how bad the officiating has been to this point, in favor of Houston.
