Swift. I didn't realize that was him til you said so. But that's what happens to dudes so hyped and nothing comes of them. Can't recognize 'em.

I think Yao was 2-4 when LA just played him straight up.

Fronting Yao works, but it also seems to be killing the Blazers in the foul category. Also paying so much attention to Yao is leaving a lot of Rockets open.

I's say try playing Yao straight up for the 1st 5 min but only try and give him 12-15 foot shots. I know he likes those, but the Blazers are paying so much attention to him the other Rockets are going off.

Phil Jackson's philosophy on Tim Duncan was to let Duncan score 40pts. If he gets it he gets. Just don't let the rest of the team kill you, which is what the Rockets are doing to the Blazers.

If it wasn't for those damn refs, I'm sure the blazers could have won, after all, it was a very close game, right? Right? It's not like the blazers got blown out by 27 points or something, right? nothing like that at all. :devilwink:

Whether they were close or not isn't the point..if you ain't getting any lovin' when it ain't close you sure as hell ain't going to win the games when it is close. Or if you do it's going to take 150% of normal effort...

I'm not opposed to all the calls against the Blazers, I've freely admitted when they've made mistakes or flopped or what have you. It's just the epitome of piss poor sportsmanship when you're WINNING the series and complaining about the calls that are obviously going your way.

DA... I was wondering if that was him. If you were going to make an "injured" NBA player Frankenstein style by grafting parts of certain players you would start with Sam Bowie's legs, but DA's teeth would be 2nd.
Ever since Drexler, none of the ex-Portland players Houston has gotten have worked out. The 6 from the Pippen trade, DA, Francis etc. Roy was gonna be our pick too if you hadn't snatched him.

If the Rockets win the series, Adelman's histrionics and facial contortions might actually make me root for the Lakers

Son, that is what experienced NBA coaches do. If Nate didn't suck, he'd be doing the same thing. They try and get a little extra love for the next game.

If the Rockets win this series they are in for a rude awakening against the Lakers. The Lakers will absolutely get all the calls.

I love it. Aldridge rebounds, is knocked to the floor via foul, and the Rockets fans cry for traveling. Nice. Knowledgeable. Fans.

Roy hammered going to the hole by Yao. They call a foul on Battier, who wasn't even one near Roy. Rockets fans cry again about a foul call.

No one outside of Roy is taking it to Yao.

Haha that was a good move by Blake.

Just like Kidd did to us last season.

They're talking about Blake and his smart basketball plays. Just like his three pointer at the end of the last game. Nice!

Travis is playing some good defense on Artest and getting him to still take shots that are difficult. I'm proud.

Which makes it more difficult to understand why he doesn't do it all the time.

I like ya Travis, but be more consistent.

He did it to Durant, Melo, and Artest (in Game 2 and this game).

He just doesn't have the BBIQ to put it all together game from game. This is why on a contending team he needs to be a 10-15 minute player instead of a 30 minute player. KP needs to make moves this summer to address that.
