what a waste of 15 minutes with the most connected guy this side of Woj.

At least we have confirmation on the DJ thing. And Fischer's rationale for that was that the org thinks there was a massive dropoff from starters to bench last year, and they want to address that. So it doesn't sound like upgrading the starters is really in the cards.

ugh
Also confirmation that Olshey has finally come around to trading CJ….but only if we fleece the other team. Kill me…

I'll admit it...reading your reports of the interview and imagining you stomping your feet and throwing shit at walls because the interviewer was an idiot was amusing

I kinda felt bad for letting him know the interview was going to occur in the first place. Like, I added misery unnecessarily to his day.

Sorry @illmatic99...my bad.

didn't help that i got a terrible night of sleep either. on edge bro.

If Patty Mills doesn't go to the Warriors (or, God help us, the Lakers), I can totally see Philly going after him HARD. He and Thybulle have a real connection, and maybe they might think he'd be good for fellow Boomer Simmons. Plus Philly, of all the contenders, has most use for him. He could play more for them than he was for San Antonio, which ain't going to happen on any other contender.

Fischer is such a good source. He is basically at Woj/Shams level with his reporting and this idiot kept asking shit about CJ to confirm his stance. UGH.

Fischer has been going on the radio/podcast/spaces circuit like crazy the last few days, and people generally ask good questions. Not us. From listening to him though, I get the sense that he doesn't like being the rumor reporter, it's just something that Bleacher Report pushed him to do. He really just wants to shill his book.

Guess a good way to plug his book is nailing rumors and getting a ton more name recognition!

Friggin Neil is an idiot in regards to CJ and valuing him so high, get a clue Neil

I am convinced he has made no serious offers at all for any star player since he's been the GM. His valuation of CJ is asinine. And as long as Dame & CJ are options 1a & 1b, Portland is going nowhere

for fuck sakes, so far, from last year's team, Portland has 'lost' Kanter, Melo, Giles, & RHJ and 'gained' Zeller, McLemore, and Brown. There's no upgrade of note yet, and Olshey has apparently still held CJ as close to untouchable to count as such

is the only option left for something Dame can recognize as a serious attempt to build a contender a trade of Jones?

Last year team was better than the current roster, and that roster couldn’t beat a fucking injured Denver team that got swept next round by Phoenix. It’s fucking depressing man

I think the focus for all teams has been FA signings, there hasnt been many trades as yet. I would expect teams to now look to move players more so than up to last night.
Expect the unexpected though.

Another wing gone

We kind of need a true power forward more than a wing. We need a guy who can rebound and defend the bigger forwards on other team's second units. Don't get me wrong Rudy Gay has the versatility and size to do both but I'd like a guy who is even closer to 6'10". We've got RoCo, DJJ and Nas who are all wings capable of giving big minutes. I don't mean to get technical and I know positionless blah blah blah but this roster needs a power forward... not another wing.

Neil is very high on CJ still. It would have to be a slam dunk deal for them to move him.

It would have to be an absolute obvious upgrade to break up the Dame-CJ duo.
He can be as high as he wants on CJ... if the guy has a fucking brain in his head (which is questionable) he's got to have figured out that CJ and Dame have more value apart than together.

Is Dame and CJ contract handcuffed us on signing players? Sorry don’t know about cap space but how is the Warriors can afford Curry, Thompson and Green? Sounds like we become a poverty team.

I legit thought we were going to get Rodney back.
