Just watched the game. We lost cuz Melo was awful. Simons and GTJ did their jobs. Sucks to lose but too early to call off the season like some are saying. Lots of basketball to play.

I'm 100% ok if Stotts get fired. It won't make us a finals contender like some think, but it will start the clock on Olshey, who has not built a roster who can get the finals. No Blazers coach will get to the finals under Olshey, anyone want to take me up on that bet?

I think most if us are in complete agreement with you here.
We've seen this same treadmill team for 5-6 years now. We need a catalyst for change. My preference would be for NO to be fired.... but if Stotts has to go first - so be it.

I'm anti-focusing on things that hardly move the needle or using a litmus test that someone will only allow to be applied to the Blazers, but no other team.

Of all the people who think Stotts is totally clueless and the major factor holding us back, I haven't came across one person who is willing to bet we'll win more than 8 playoff games the year after he's replaced.

But I'll say it again, I will lose 0 seconds of sleep if Stotts gets fired.

To be one of the best teams in the West? Two, three teams a season have enough talent to win it all. That’s it. And those teams either strike gold with random picks that blow up or are free agent destinations. I don’t blame Olshey for not winning a championship the last eight years or whatever.

Watching Lillard and Melo L to Rockets was not fun at all. It was boring, predictable and pathetic.

Stotts is just a symptom. Him and CJ still being around are like the fever and shortness of breath that so many of us think are killing the team. Olshey is the infection. He's the bacteria or virus that is actually the reason why the team is dying or is just being crippled into something that can't perform at close to its optimal level.

Yeah you don't blame Olshey for not winning a championship. You hopefully just blame him for keeping Stotts and not exchanging CJ for talent that actually compliments Dame and therefore he's prevented us from even being a legit contender let alone losing a championship. So he can't be blamed for us not winning a chip because he's not even getting us close enough to sniff being a championship team.
