You sir are correct. Another way to look at it is that you would have had to risk $185-$200 to win $100 if you picked Houston because they were so heavily favored.

Had you bet Portland +4.5, you would have won.

Now if this forum had it's own independent line, I would be able to quit my job by simply betting on our opponent.

To be one of the best teams in the West? Two, three teams a season have enough talent to win it all. That’s it. And those teams either strike gold with random picks that blow up or are free agent destinations. I don’t blame Olshey for not winning a championship the last eight years or whatever.

Appreciate the clarification. You think this currently available roster is top 2-3 talent wise? Or when they're all healthy?

I also don't blame Olshey for us not winning a championship; it's probably an unrealstic expectation given all variables at play. He certainly has the greatest impact on our success/failture though.

You say Dame's lost a step and isn't gonna score like he used to and he keeps scoring except better than ever. You say this team ain't going anywhere in the playoffs and we don't. If you are wrong enough going the same way every time, eventually you'll be right. You've been telling us a lot of things that are absolute bullshit but this time when Nurk went down you said, like you would have anyway, that we would have a rash of injuries and we did. So i finally got my act together and sat in on one of these "Uprise" talks. There is a pretty good flow and both Bones and Hoops can answer questions through the chat. It's cool.
Look guys it's only a couple bucks to get on it and of course we all know Bones and Hoops are about as knowledgeable as anyone following the team. You might not agree with everything they say but the overall message is theirs and they make awesome arguments for their opinions.
If you are dead set that Stotts has no blame or that Olshey is god and should not be held accountable this is not the place for you.

The Chat was a bit abusive to anyone standing up for anything positive about the team and absolutely do not bring up 4 starters being out. Seems like they will ban you there if you get into a conflict or are the center of conflict? Not sure how that works if you are paying to post? I just directed all my comments at Bones "Torey" or Hoops "Eric" and stayed out of the chat conversation. It's too much for me to try and read it all and listen intently enough to follow what is being said.

In the end i would hope all of you get a chance to listen in and see what they are creating. I wish it was more of an open conversation but they would not be able to control it at all so this format seems best.
I would hope all of you try to support these guys. I most certainly will be back when time permits me. My biggest problem is 4am wake up and most games get over around 10pm. If you cannot stay up after a game it's going to be tough but road games that start early i have a chance.

after all, it's been 'proven' that women who work and/or live together start having synchronized menstrual cycles. It's science, and by science I mean unsubstantiated rumors that are enough foundation to create jokes and memes

anyway, maybe it's vibrations or pheromones or cell towers or designer sneakers but something seems to be happening. I mean, all we have to do is recycle the injury excuses and 'what-ifs' from last season. At least we don't have to come up with the effort of original excuses; the old ones are already in our toolbox within easy reach. But that means we're just getting stagnant; we need to keep generating new excuses to keep the needles on the homer gauges bouncing

so yeah, the possibility of synchronized injuries is the next flashy thing to grab

We usually only hand out 5-minute bans for people who personally attack others. We hold the chat to the same standards this forum holds people too. Most of the time we have to stand up for people who disagree with us, because there's a couple people in chat that'll go overboard with attacking someone else just because of a difference of opinion, which I dint like because (believe it or not) I like a contrast in opinions!

We only perma-ban people who are repeat offenders that we've had to warn multiple times. Problem is, most just make a new account and are back in there 2 minutes later. Its hard to police a community, but we have to do it because I want it to be an open place for people to discuss basketball no matter what their opinions are.

We dont censure anyone off of their opinion. Only if they attack others, consistently spam the same thing in chat constantly despite being warned not to, or if they act in an obviously inappropriate way.

We have viewers across the world so I'm happy to provide them Blazer analysis they otherwise wouldnt get because they're not local, that they can watch live or afterwards (it stays on the channel as a video after we sign off).

We know some people wont like our analysis and would prefer something like Blazers Outsiders, which is completely fine. We fill different niches in my opinion, but we try our best to make it welcoming for everyone while still being opinionated on a way a lot of people might not agree with.
