Here is a really good comment from the Thunder thread

"Everything the Thunder get offensively is predicated on what Westbrook and PG can create. Not much ball or player movement, especially in contrast to Portland"

You know that saying about the definition of insanity? The blazers are a living embodiment of that.

Nothing
Will
Ever
Change
First of all, that is not the definition of insanity, I can tell you by experience. Second of all, our record has improved over the last two seasons.

Tough loss. We played hard but not always smart. Late game turnovers by Dame & Turner really hurt. Early game fouls of jump shooters. Gave up key rebounds. Meyers still passing up wide open shots seeing ghosts. Every point counts.

OKC is much better. They have Westbrook not ball hogging nearly as much as he used to. Damn wish we could have landed Paul George.

Here is another one

“Either you’ve got to handle the pick-and-roll better (Westbrook/Schroder containing the ballhander, working over screens) or you’ve got to force Nurkic to make that next pass (via backside rotation).”

Do any of these sound like things you read on a Blazer thread?

This is pretty funny

"Doris Burke's breakdown of the Thunder's pick-and-roll defense (or lack thereof) in the first quarter was perfection. I teared up a little."

Seems like some people don't like the way the Thunder run their offense or defense. Could it be coaching?

Game threads after losses are the worst.

Not sure why I subject myself to this crap.

Donovan is worse than Stotts.

I'll bet you all will like this one.

"If we could swap Billy D for Terry Stotts right now i'd do it in a heartbeat!"

Now that sounds like a real winner there.

Donovan sure picked up that he didn't have to guard Aminu in the fourth Quarter. Tightened up that P n R defense.

Yeah, we did have really good ball movement in the first half.

You're starting to sound like MARIS when he defends Trump.

Yeah, we did have really good ball movement in the first half.

The offense was being run through Nurk. They just completely abandoned it in the second. Nevermind the robo sub patterns and leaving in guys like Turner and Leonard way too long. The game was pretty much lost late in the third/early fourth. This loss is on Stotts.

KJIronMan + KingSpeed vs. Me, HoopsJock, TBpup, etc.

Lol.

Oh Boy... Here is the last one for the night. This one takes the cake!

" The Blazers are always competitive. They always seem to have a good team. And they have one of the best coaching staffs in the league."

This is from a comment from a fan of a team that has a better record and just beat the Blazers in Portland. Could you imagine what comments i would find if the Blazers had won that game?

Yeah... Comment board Coaches and General Managers are all the same.

Yeah, I'm sure Thunder fans have a better grasp on our coaching staff than us.

Get a clue.

Now come on man. I don't do Jinxspeed shit. And i don't go all in that everything is perfect. This team needs wholesale changes without question. I even agree with you that a coaching change would be a good thing. But i'm just not willing to bash a very solid man that gives everything he has to this organization. Terry Stotts deserves more respect than what you give him is all i'm saying.

You gotta love how, instead of discussing any of the real basketball reasons why our Blazers' coaching staff gave away the game tonight, this guy is grasping at straws by quoting posts from a Thunder forum.

It's not all on the coach. You guys take the very easiest way out every time and say it's coaching. Some things are out of the coaches hands.
