Now come on man. I don't do Jinxspeed shit. And i don't go all in that everything is perfect. This team needs wholesale changes without question. I even agree with you that a coaching change would be a good thing. But i'm just not willing to bash a very solid man that gives everything he has to this organization. Terry Stotts deserves more respect than what you give him is all i'm saying.

I didn't insult Kingspeed. Funny how you thought I did by grouping him with you...

You gotta love how, instead of discussing any of the real basketball reasons why our Blazers' coaching staff gave away the game tonight, this guy is grasping at straws by quoting posts from a Thunder forum.

Look i watched about a hundred different reasons that a shot didn't fall and a assignment got missed. I was not in the huddle and i don't know what Terry said. I also watched Dame have a weak night. I also watched Nurk get in foul trouble and get pulled for Meyers.
Lots of reason the Blazers lost. You want to blame the coach then so be it. But it's just funny that every game thread for every team has a guy just like you that can always say they know more than the coach of the team.

This is why I want him as a GM. Said we should be aggressive and go after KD, and he has a clue. He knows how to win a championship based off teamwork. And he actually understands our situation.

My mistake. They pulled him right after he was fouled in the third. Put Meyers in. Again the minutes restriction thing? Why are they playing him so few minutes?

Because robocop sets his substitution pattern before the game and has no idea how to ride a wave.

And Nurk played 30 minutes. More than usual.

I actually dont know how much of the loss Id put on the coaching tonight. Were the questionable decisions? Yes. He did try some new things though, Layman played for one. In the 1st half they played through nurk a lot, which Ive been begging for. I dont really know why they went away from the side pnr’s with Nurk I felt that was their best offense all game.

Sometimes the ball just doesnt go in the hoop. They generated a lot of good looks and just missed them. Id say between just missing good shots and ball control they shouldve won.

What always irritates me about the coaching is the trap and extra man running at their screens 30 feet away from the basket. I dont understand how they havent figured out a way to attack that.

I also believe Zachs skills are wasted in the system he’s playing in.

So im kind of all over the place, I think coaching was an issue, but Curry hits some of his good looks, or Dame knocks down shots he’s capable of making, or just doesnt have silly turnovers they win. I feel like some of their losses have been like 75-80% coaching with the rest on the players. I feel like this loss was closer to 50-50. The end of the third quarter for instance that was just stupid stupid stupid stupid all on the players making dumb plays...

I honestly havent read the whole conversation that game was really frustrating so I wanted to take a break and try to get my thoughts together before I came back.

Well it's the same ol same ol. Some want to blame the coach again. And they have some good points. But then some want to say hey it's a close loss to a good team and it could have gone either way.

There is a pretty old saying. Against good teams you want to be in a position to win at the end. The Blazers blew it tonight.

On top of the 30ft screens against trapping with no answer, here's 7 other issues:

Not hedging, trapping, or doing something about PG.

Not trying to attack Russ and draw another foul after he had 3 fouls in the 2nd and got left in.

Letting Russ go 1v1 against C.J. in the post...

Not feeding Nurkic at all the 2nd half (cross screen set?)

Not looking to play in transition until late in the 4th.

Not holding Dame and C.J. accountable for their shot selection.

Not freeing Dame off the ball in sets during the 4th and trying to free him up.

Yes, if we're make more shots, we still win. But shooting is variable. The better thing to do would be to fix the things I listed above.
