I think there are a handful of stars in the league who would throw in the towel with the type of adversity this team has faced.

Please. Just stop. The Blazers are out Four starters right now. Nurk would be starting. They have 9 players available. Of those 6 are not starting quality at all and are questionable rotation players. This is a bad injury year. Are there other teams dealing with injuries? Yes. Have some done better that the Blazers? Yes. Have some done worse? Yes.
Bottom line the injuries are real. The team is decimated by injuries without question.
