Maybe we want old man Tolliver to start hedging picks? 1M? Or maybe you want Bazemore to do it? I could see Baze pulling it off but he would be the only one.

They’re killing us from three, we’re killing them in the paint. Threes are worth more than twos, so they’re winning.

Every play and rotation would’ve been different if Dame didn’t play.
So you are saying you absolutely know if Dame didn’t play CJ doesn’t get hurt?
This is actually my point. Injuries happen.

Worst perimeter defense in NBA... unbelievable how many open threes the give up game after game

You seem to be suggesting that our roster is not made up players who have shown the ability to be able to defend perimeter players with any regularity.

If Nurkic yelled "TACOS" in the locker room today, C.J. probably doesn't get hurt because his though process timeline would've been changed.

You can't allow one guy draw the who team in the middle and leaving the players wide open at 3. We so undisciplined this year about that every droping off in the key.

For some reason this game is stressing me out more than usual game.

I'm always amazed that while a game is going on some of you guys can find time to have 15 post arguments

I must be a really slow typist. I'm a fast drinker though so it evens out

Could be the case? But of course there are those that want that pick hedged every play. I guess by the players this roster has available?

Whiteside can hedge... It doesn't take anywhere near as much quickness as people on this forum seem to think.

Tolliver actually does a decent job of hedging. Whiteside hedged in the 1st game of the season and did so perfectly...

It's much better than leaving a defender on an island alone with Doncic while also having to navigate a pick and get back in position.

Please, please, please, please, please have the player guarding the screener hedge a pick when Luka has the ball. Our defense is literally saying here Luka take this open shot!

You don't think that would result in a layup nearly every time?

There ya go. Melo hedged and guess what? The pass went the other way and the Blazer got lucky and they missed the shot. Melo was about a second and a half late but he did hedge.

Erik Spoelstra did not think that was a great strategy in Miami.

A layup or a pass that leads to a three from the other side. This isn’t brain surgery. Hedging is a stunt. Not a defensive strategy.
