My argument is Dame needs to be in better condition.

He’s in good condition, he is not in elite condition. He’s not playing Rip Hamilton or Kobe Bryant minutes. He’s playing roughly average minutes, and in those minutes he takes a lot of plays off. He looks atrocious in virtually every back to back game.

I think he needs to improve his work ethic. Phil Jackson wouldn’t let Shaq rap. While I’m ok with Dame doing what he wants, I think rapping is at least somewhat of a sign of lack of focus. His songs are all about how much he has succeeded in life, yet he hasn’t led us out of the first round once (vs a non-injured team).

Dame needs to step it up, his attitude is WAY too laid back, this won’t change when people praise him over him scoring 9th in PPG then getting swept in the first round of the playoffs...

This is just my opinion. I’m sick of arguing with you. Relax.

Dame has 10x Rip’s natural talent and they are roughly equally as good of players overall because Rip puts in way more conditioning work / pre-game prep.

One year was with Aldridge leading the team. The other year was when Blake Griffin and Chris Paul we’re injured.

These are the sort of feats you celebrate when you have nothing.

Notice how I never said trade Dame. He’s my second favorite player, I’m just not drinking kool aid and pretending he doesn’t need to go to another level to have any chance of winning a ring.

No but I’ve seen Kobe and Nash warm up pre game, and they warm up more for regular season games than Dame does in the playoffs.

The only time I’ve seen Dame warm up extensively is at Oakland... I wonder why

That's 2 players that not the whole league. Plus there probably guys don't even get off the bench might be out there longer Dame too. Every player has there own routine before the game and probably no players have one just alike.

The fact remains that his shooting was atrocious, and players that warm up more pre game tend to have far fewer atrocious-shooting nights.

Dame takes a lot of pre games off. He will spend a lot of time when he is playing in front of his home in Oakland, he will hardly spend any time prepping for games like this that he expects to lose.

Matter fact he having great career just because he don't win championships that doesn't diminished his career there a lot players out there that didn't win championships that made the hall fame. To win a championship all the pieces have to come together. Right now we don't have all the pieces and you can't fault Dame for that can you.

You virtually never saw Steve Nash play a game like Dame did last night - that’s not talent, it’s work ethic. If you spend hours before every game warming up your odds of having an abysmal 3-14 shooting night fall pretty dramatically. Basketball is mostly muscle memory.

Rip was a good catch a shoot player but rest game was pretty much average. Yes he had to be great shape running around screens and that's how he got his offensive. Here is Rip career stats 17 points 3 rebounds 3 assist a game and that not even close to Dame stats. So your pregame don't match up with the each player's stats.

Has I said before I give Denver a lot credit with their defense why he went 3-14 but he was also included with 16 plus points with 8 assist. I am not saying Dame don't have his faults because he does. You know if you went after him on his defense then more likely agree with you but is offensive this year I can't. If your taking one game for your evaluation on what type player he is then your probably way off base.

A: a former poster who is trolling the board
B: trolling the board by overly reporting "insults" because thats what you find funny and don't realize that in most cases people know that new posters don't all the sudden start reporting "insults" in this manner. We had a really good showing vs the warriors that year. Again, Dame is far from a bum. He does more with a bad team than virtually any other player. He still needs to play with more passion (and that doesn’t just mean shooting a lot).
