CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Portland Trail Blazerscontinue their quest for their first road win when they meet theCharlotte Bobcats on Monday.


Portland has won all four of its home games - including winsover New Orleans, Dallas and Detroit - teams which are acombined 22-7 this season.


Away from the Rose Garden, however, it has been a differentstory for the Blazers. They are 0-6 outside of Portland, scoringnearly 10 points per game less on the road than they do athome.


On Saturday, the Blazers endured a 109-90 loss to the GilbertArenas-less Washington Wizards.


The Blazers will have their hands full trying to break theirroad skid against the Bobcats, who are 4-2 at home. The Bobcatsbeat Seattle 100-84 on Saturday on the strength of 23 pointsfrom Jason Richardson.


A key part of the win was the Bobcats' play on the defensive endas they held the SuperSonics to 31 percent (26-for-84)shooting. Defense has played a pivotal part in the Bobcatsstart as they are holding team to 93.9 points per game, oneseason after they allowed 100.6 per contest.

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The combination of GeraldWallace and Jason Richardson continue to pay dividends for theCharlotte Bobcats.


Wallace scored a game-high 27 points and Richardson scored 24 asthe Bobcats posted a 101-88 victory over the Portland TrailBlazers on Monday.


Raymond Felton had 24 points and 10 assists and Emeka Okaforadded 12 and 12 rebounds for Charlotte, which has won twostraight and three of four.


The Bobcats, who have also won three straight here, continuedthe road struggles for the Trail Blazers. Portland, undefeatedat home, have dropped all seven on the road.


Wallace, who connected on 10-of-18 from the field, scored 12points in the opening quarter and 18 through two periods to giveCharlotte a 40-36 halftime lead. It was the third game in arow that Wallace, who signed a six-year, $52-million contractover the summer, had scored 27 points.


Richardson, who also keyed a 16-6 run for Charlotte in its winagainst Seattle Saturday night, scored 14 in the third period,including the first 10 to start the quarter. The 6-6Richardson, whom the Bobcats acquired in a draft-day trade fromthe Golden State Warriors, shot 11-of-21 from the field.

Trailing, 66-63, just under a minute into the final quarter, theBobcats went on an 11-4 run, capped by two free throws byOkafor to make it 74-70 at the 8:19 mark of the period.

After two free throws by Brandon Roy cut Portland's deficit to76-74, Charlotte used a 10-2 spurt, ending with a Richardsondunk with 5:26 left, to take control at 86-76.


Portland never got closer than seven points the rest of the wayas Felton scored nine of the Bobcats' final 14 points to helpsecure the victory.


Roy scored 17 points and reserve Jarrett Jack added 16 forPortland, which shot 42 percent (30-of-72).
