also. just FYI cuz i'm reading some bullshit on Toradol.

It's a fucking NSAID just like ibuprofen (Advil) only stronger. It's not an opioid, it's just a strong pain killer. My wife was on it for a few weeks to relieve inflammation after her Covid shot. It's harmless. People can binge on that shit and it won't do anything.

Do you know what "thugging it out" is? Dame playing after cortisone shots because he didn't want to miss a single game last year until he had to get sat down forcibly by the medical staff to take care of himself.

that's what I understood when I took it for my Achilles injury. Never felt like I was drugged.

With the stuff he's alleged, the Blazers probably would DNP him for the rest of the season if they didn't renounce him. Could you imagine the fan or teammate reception to him?

Not sure what you were given, but Toradol is just keterolac, taken orally. It's not even considered a controlled substance because it's not a benzodiazepine that can lead to addiction. Just a stronger advil for all intents and purposes.

The only time it can lead to somewhat noteworthy issues is if taken WITH an opioid. By itself, it's harmless.

Funny thing about this ... if you look on "Payton" or "GPII" trending on Twitter, there's actually a video of Payton in workout clothes in the Warrior weightroom with Steph and other GS players and it says "GPII back with the team already," or something like that.
 
I think Joe probably made the Warriors give two more second rounders than they wanted and they are just trying to drag us big time. I think they'll say that the trade is going through tomorrow. I think GP2 will play for them before the end of the regular season. I think this is a bunch of bullshit.

Just asked my wife. She told me fentanyl was also in the IV. I guess that solves the mystery.

Lots of players have reinjured themselves by listening to team docs instead of their bodies/personal doctors that are not paid by the owner. The team docs had him wear like extended shoe gels to try to make his legs even--that was just a recipe for disaster because the team was desperate for him to play.

For the most part team doctors do fine work but there is also times when there's a conflict of interest and maybe pressure from ownership to clear players to get them back on the court when they're not 100% ready--both physically and mentally. I really liked seeing a superstar in Kawhi telling the Spurs doctors to shove it and he'd play when he was ready haha.

Edit: The Warriors are known for having a fantastic sports medicine team so I can't blame him for not trusting the Blazers guys after he witnessed the Warriors staff.

I dunno how reputations of medical staffs are formed in public opionions but the staff for the Blazers has been overly conservative I felt. And they seem to do a fantastic job at managing load and forcibly sitting guys who seem healthy just to protect them. We have multiple anecdotes to support this.

The only issue has arisen with Payton.
 
I’m sorry but there better be an MRI or some other verifiable test that shows an injury. If it’s just him saying that he’s still in pain, that’s not good enough.
