I drove Uber in Portland last year and actually picked him up from a hookah lounge, not a strip club. Then I took him to a hotel that was not the team hotel.

I think his defense is underrated. He’s really good in the post, gets a lot of steals and grades out well analytically. Part of that is Houston “hiding” him, but if nothing else, he’s still superior to matador CJ.

at times, yes. I have yet to see compilation videos clowning on CJ’s porous D yet (not saying they don’t exist). Harden CAN play D when he wants. He makes it pretty apparent he doesn’t care that much on the defensive side of things.

To be fair, Nate wants to trade CJ for all the same reasons that he doesn't want Harden. They have a lot of the same issues, but Harden is better (only slightly in the playoffs) and he comes with a lot more issues for the locker room, has a hefty price tag, and would likely leave.

Question for whoever might know: if we traded for James Harden, would WE be able to offer him some kind of contract extension next summer like the Rockets did? (Not sure)

If the answer is yes, I think it’s foolish to not at least have to think about it. Lets say CJ, Trent, Collins, and 3 1sts gets it done. Next summer, if for some reason things don’t work out, will the supposed offers that are currently looming be available? I’m not really into the Brooklyn offer at all, but Ben Simmons w/ surrounding players + 1st(s) would interest me. I’ve heard the Warriors mentioned on ESPN—if we had Harden, could we pry Klay away from them?

The idea of the trade excites me because I feel like the return on Harden will likely offset his trade price if it doesn’t work out and it’s our best opportunity to find Dame’s best possible co-star for the rest of his prime. The idea also scares me because we could be wasting a year of Dame’s prime with this move. But ultimately, I’m fine whether or not he’s a Blazer.

Do you think both teams would do Middleton and Holiday for Harden and Gordon? The salaries work out.

I think a perimeter of Wall, Holiday and Middleton would be a really great perimeter for Houston. They would have Tucker and Wood to start with them. They would still have a pretty shallow bench but they already do.

Harden and Gordon wouldn't be a bad back court to play with Giannis. That being said I think that team is still very thin on talent elsewhere. Who starts at the 3? Do they just go super small with DiVencenzo starting. Obviously BroLo starts at 5 and that's not bad. Their bench is so thin. Augustin, Connaughton and Portis would be their other rotation players.

I don't think this trade or the Bucks previous trade for Holiday make them the favorite in the league or necessarily in the East, so I really don't see either move keeping Giannis. I still think the right move for Milwaukee is to get every thing they can for Giannis from the highest bidder.

The Bucks don't seem to have a single first round pick to trade. So that wouldn't exactly be the "huge haul" that the Rockets are looking for in exchange for Harden.
