My guy. We get it. It’s out of there hands now. But I think it’s perfectly fine for people to be annoyed with a franchise that has done a decent amount to show they don’t actually give an f about the fans for at least a couple decades.
And Root will say it's not their fault as well. Then complain to the team. they will tell you what I’ve been trying to get across here. Nothing they can do about it. #EmailROOT
I think the Blazers had to operate under the assumption that Root was going to be as greedy as possible and put one of these options in their contract lanague:
1) They can cancel the contract if <x>% of services do not have Root in their lineup package
2) Root must offer their channel at <x> amount per subscriber to providers
3) If <x>% of services don't have Root, they can offer their own internal streaming service.
Yes there are flaws in each of my 3 proposals I just spit-balled out, but all those smart people in a room, with time, could have ironed something out if they wanted to.
That’s it! Pull a Kaep or Irving and refuse to work until you get the fans what they want! Then I guess they are guilty of signing a deal that makes them the most money then. A wise business decision, maybe not so wise for fans of this site or my family. I have friends who lost their businesses and a restaurant during 2020..... I don't blame businesses any more for doing what helps them succeed. Just don't.
- The team says it's Root's fault but did the deal with them anyway. And Root will say it's not their fault as well.

Do it for us HCP!
You will be the forum hero!
Everyone will read your posts!
Nobody would dare have you on ignore!
Just do it! You can start sitting out games today!
“HCP goes on strike for the fans!!!”
That will quickly become the longest thread in S2 history!
Or we could just replace the word covid with HCP in our longest thread.
Hopefully it does and we can all sing their praises once a reasonably priced solution is available. How do you know the contract doesn't have any of this?
who cares if they lose money every year when they just turned a 70 million investment to 2 billion in valuation? And the 260 mil PA put into the rose garden wasn't exactly a sunk cost either.
Even with inflation, that is a ridiculous profit.
New Polling option the league has put out. You have the option to turn off I was just told.here are some screenshots i found on twitter:

I’m quite sure the team cares. That shit trickles down.who cares if they lose money every year
I get it. The team made a decision that pissed you guys off as die hard fans. Now you are angry at the team. Your anger being aimed at the team fixes nothing. I get it.you don't get it.
And a more rabid fan base (which you'd have if more people had access) only increases that valuation more.who cares if they lose money every year when they just turned a 70 million investment to 2 billion in valuation? And the 260 mil PA put into the rose garden wasn't exactly a sunk cost either.

He get’s it.They did the same damn thing with Comcast too. The team has shown time and time again that they don't give a shit about fans' ability to watch the team.
This seems like a very simple solution. Just make a deal with YouTube and move on.I'll add that the lifespan on RSNs is dwindling as it is ... didn't wade through every post on here but both Adam Silver and Rob Manfred bashed them recently basically saying their sports HAVE to find another way of getting their product to the fans because the old model is on life support. Time for the teams, but more specifically the leagues to get creative with streaming.

This is funny to me because for the majority of people, they could just get Comcast and pay only a little more than YouTubetv or Hulu
If you can afford YouTubetv you can afford Comcast. If you hate Comcast and will never be a customer, well welcome to capitalism
imo only people like @Wheels have a true grip
I sure hope you are right. Thats what i switched to. Specifically for the games.…………. I’m hearing on the streets that DirecTV shouldn’t be an issue. You guys hearing anything out there like that? Hmmmmm
yeah those are the only people who have a legit grip imoSorry man but this post shows you are clearly not getting it.
there are alot of us who cant get comcast.
