Yeah i pay for Comcast and have been pretty happy. Easy to navigate. I get all the apps I want like Netflix and Disney and Peacock as well as You Tube.
Cost with Internet is about $130 a month for everything. Never a problem and if there is they fix it pretty quick.
I have 4 TV's in the house with one in the kids room and one in the spare room that only do apps. I also have a exercise bike (Peloton) that is hooked up to the internet and App systems.

Remember the old hbo box? Switch from hbo to tv? It was like $30 but a month back in the day i think. I was still in grades school but thought i remember my dad saying it was that much.

Consumers minds have changed.

Blazers are antiquated in their delivery of that product.

It's common sense and keeping with the times. Its really not that hard to understand.
 
No, Dish did - but they dropped it two weeks ago and look unlikely to bring it back.

Is there any team in the league that does their own streaming? Yes it would be cool if the Blazers were first but I'm guessing the $$ upfront is pretty large to undertake something like that. Add in that I doubt Jody wants anything to do with spending money to make money at this point, it seems like she's going to sell as soon as possible, so it would make sense that she took the biggest offer she could and give a middle finger to any fan that might get screwed over this.

If you haven't noticed in recent times, people have issues with cable companies in principle, otherwise YTTV and other streaming companies wouldn't be getting this deals (or not getting them, as is this case).

Comcast is fucking stupid. On principal alone I and many many many many others choose not to use them for cable. There needs to be choices. We live in a time where choices are paramount to customer satisfaction. This antiquated "well, just go with the one that has it" doesn't fly in principle in the current consumer market. Consumer minds have changed and evolved and this issue here is a direct anecdote of that.

so you just want options without thinking about the logistics.

What channel would they sign with? The one that shut down and wouldn’t have been able to pay the blaZers anything close to what root did? And you think that makes sense business wise (the blazers are a business first) because you and some other fans hate Comcast?

we had two regional sports channels and one went under. Sooooo what does that leave the blazers? Sign with the other one....

its a good move no doubt. But the Blazers still need to start thinking forward long haul style. The future is streaming.
Kraken should create their own channel they could then work with streaming apps with, as well as get it on the big three.

that’s what they say but it went under because it was a shit channel that offered nothing but the Blazers.

Nobody watched that channel 5 months out of the year. They were broke. I highly doubt their offer was in the same ball park.
