So... the Rockets stockpiled twenty first round picks and told Lowry to pack his bags and sit outside on the curb waiting for the taxi... and then nothing happened? So Lowry's still sitting there? Does this mean we should try to get him or we should try to get Dragic? (Oh, I forgot: we got our PG from the Big Sky conference.)

How many PFs do the Rockets have now? Does anyone still think Daryl Morey knows what the hell he's doing?

(Of course, I do like all his first round picks better than ours. Can we have Royce White as well if we take Lowry off their hands? In fact: Lowry and White for Lillard - who's with me????)

I think that ship has sailed. I see us going forward with Lillard and grabbing a cheap vet to share the minutes.

LOL he was not happy losing his job to Dragic, if he plays behingd or has to share too many minutes with a rook ya think he'll like that? If we spent the #6 pick on a PG we need to play him, especially as this team is rebuilding, sure lets get a cheap vet to tutor and play some, but Lowry? No way

I wouldn't mind acquiring Lowry. He's on a short contract. The 2nd year of the contract is not fully guaranteed. I think it makes a lot of sense, but the price may be too high.

I think he would feel a lot better about trying to outplay a rookie than Dragic. It's a short contract, so it's a pretty short term commitment.

I say start Lillard and roll with the punches. Bring back Batum and Hickson and let all the young guys gel together.

Maybe this means we sign Steve Nash.

Nash/Lillard
Batum/Williams
Matthews/
Aldridge/Hickson
Freeland/Lillard

Lillard as Point Center! :) I think Olshey is trying to get Claver here too and then you have Nolan Smith and Babbit. That is a pretty full roster (and mediocre). Well, let's hope it pans out.

You can leave Babbitt off your list, but that doesn't make him go away! mwahahahaha :devilwink:

...adding Steve Nash would be Glorious to go with all that youth.

Nash would have to be willing to play 20 minutes a night though

I'd love to see Nash added to this team. I don't think Nash wants to play 30 minutes per game anymore, he will sit a lot, and you could pair the two of them on the court together for 5-10 minutes against a second unit so minutes would be fine over an 82 game season.

If it were me, Lillard would never play the 2

This. LMA can be the wise old veteran. If only he acts like it...

Just say NO to veteran f/a's this offseaason. I don't mind a guy coming in to tutor Lillard but I seriously doubt they even bring Hickson back at this point. Roll with the youngsters, hope to get a top 5 pick in next years draft where it is top heavy and use the money we don't spend this summer, next summer.

So are you saying we should let Batum walk as well?
