Markieff Morris?

Hell yeah. I'm still trying to figure out which Plumlee we have.....

We got the middle one. And can someone explain to me why he is always listed at 6'10" or 6'11" when he measured 6'11.25" barefoot at the draft combine?

At the cost of Vonleh, who has the potential to be better than LaMarcus? That's a tough one to swallow, especially when the team isn't expected to compete for anything this year.

No I wouldn't do the trade and lose promising young player in von. Morris is not bad player but he not what I would be looking for a pf.

That team wasn't really a thug team. Steve Smith, Schremp, Sabonis, Grant not thugs. It was when we got Patterson and Woods and Randolph that we became thug team.

Shieeet, you're right! Damon,Bonzi and Sheed were the only problem makers on that team.

I think trading Vonleh would b a HUGE mistake. I like Meyers & believe he'll become quite decent but if we've got a shot (which I believe we DEFINITELY do...) @ Morris, we take it & maybe do a 3-team trade using Meyers & Kaman that gets us Morris PLUS some1 else we need:smiley-yup: It's true he's a crappy rebounder for his position/size but let Vonleh & the rest of the gang get the boards then. Morris does have game & he'll still improve, he plays the 4 & the 5, he's young, & he fits Neil's current direction. I don't think he'll b a cancer w/ us AND I want T-Rob (a know very close Morris' friend; T-Rob probably isn't all that fond of us any more though & bc of this, Morris may not want to come here:unsure:) back! Anyway, we should @ least try to get Morris:smiley-yes: The worst that can happen w/ trying a trade for him is they say no.

Trading Meyers AND Kaman for Morris? WTF!?! Both of them are better than Morris NOW, and Meyers in only going to get better.
THAT's why we do that AND get ANOTHER guy we NEED!

Trading Meyers OR Vonleh for Morris might be enough to make me lose interest for a year. You don't trade promise for mediocrity. If the goal is late lottery/first round exits then get tweener Morris.

And, how long before he starts whining about forcing us to sign his tweener brother. I mean you can never have too many 3/4 tweeners who can't rebound, right?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to keep Meyers ALSO but we've got to give them something they want to get something; what about Meyers + Mike Miller for Morris PLUS Devin Booker? Would u guys like this? Or do you guys think they'd take instead Kaman + Mike Miller for Morris straight-up?

ps yeah, that'd b shitty if "he starts whining about forcing us to sign his tweener brother." So... potentially nvm w/ the Morris thing:tongue2:

Didn't this dude stomp the shit out of his mentor or some shit? I'd give them Miller and Kaman and that's about it, definitely wouldn't give up any young guys with potential. Taking on this guy isn't worth losing some young guys AND being just good enough to lose a top 4 pick.

This guy has red flags on top of red flags...I don't want him anywhere near Portland. He's also pending an assault case with his brother. If ever there was a jailblazer to be found...he's the guy.

I wouldn't mind Plumlee for Morris. We already have Ed Davis. Plus Plum is in his last year.

You only take on this headcase if he comes the same way Harkless came -- absorb contract + second rounder.

Pelton offering Vonleh is beyond stupid.

Lol I keep forgetting that we have Miller

That is exactly what I was thinking. A non-rebounding power forward with an attitude has no value to me. Hopefully he does to some other team.

I wouldn't even trade Kaman straight across - Kaman is far more valuable to us than Morris even if Kaman never steps on the court.

I'll not totally disagree w/ this, I actually do like Kaman a lot & he's done a TON for Meyers; I do enjoy thinking about how he can help Voleh & Mason & such too:wink: Kaman's definitely got a future in the league as a big man coach (hopefully w/ us!).

Exactly. Now that we have not just one, but FOUR young bigs Kaman will be four times as valuable to us as he was last season. I think it's imperative that we keep him at least until the trade deadline just so he has a few months to work with Vonleh. I think Kaman's game translates best to Meyers and Vonleh, but he can still probably help out in some aspect with Plumlee and Davis if they're willing to be mentored.

Yeah I agree Kaman has value to us. I don't understand why a number of Blazer fans expect him to be traded. If we got some great young player or a first round pick obviously we make the trade but Kaman doesn't have anywhere close to that kind of value around the league. He's slightly overpaid on a $5 million contract which doesn't matter to us; but other teams won't want to absorb that salary. If we did find a trade we'd maybe get a heavily protected second round pick; a pick around #45-60. Those are the type of picks you can normally just buy at the draft. Kaman may retire when the season is over so just keep him around.
