Never say never. I remember Detroit trading Bonzi Wells days before the season started. And he was a lottery pick. (#11)
If I were a team like Chicago, I would want Murray thrown in the deal much more than another pick from Portland.

Chris Paul is done, Beal is decent sure but think its not gonna go as smoothly as they think with those 3 personalities now on that team,Collins is ok one game and horrific the next...

We will be fine and again if it is a rebuild, well then that's ok too. I don't get dramatic about the sports teams I follow. Do I want us to win? Of course. But I don't let it piss me off like I used too, way more important things in life to worry about.

Bonzi was traded 7 months after the draft for two future picks.

What the hell is Chicago giving us that they get Ant plus any of our rookies?

Problem with a lot on this board is they think they are Fkn GMs and know what is best.

Rebuild and put a team together for Dame can both be true at the same time.
 
if we see Lillard excited and happy after being traded to a win now team, that's what it's all about.

pro sports is complicated,
having fun with it makes it better.
 
If Cronin actually wants to make moves to get better and has Jody's blessing to spend some money, then keep Dame.

If Jody is unwilling to spend anymore money and Joe is content with rebuilding, then don't keep Dame.

Many of you are making definitive statements without taking into account of what ownership and the front office is willing and can do.

If Dame demands a trade, he kills his value. What’s Cronin’s motivation to deal him then?

So, even if he wants out and Joe wants to deal him, I expect to hear about love and roses.

Yeah, it was right before the season started as I said. The lockout year. He never played for Detroit.
Who is Chicago going to trade us for Ant and a rookie.......haven't we been talking about DDR for weeks?

Lillard has not a lot of value because only a few teams may be interested in his gigantic contract. So if it's only Miami and Brooklyn that are all-in, that is enough for a bidding war.

Miami tampered with the constant leaks that
they’re “focused” on Lillard.

Joe has to stand firm and force Miami to overpay.
 
Why would anyone want to trade Dame when he's only 33 and playing his best ball. He's probably the most respected player in the league for numerous reasons and he has 4 years left on his contract.
When Dame goes into HoF I want him in a Blazer Jersey.
 
I'm sure this meeting is just to catch up and inform Dame of what he's fielding since they last talked a week ago. Dame has lobbied for players to come here before he went to France with Grant on vacation. He's just built a new castle here..yeah, I'm not buying the trade to Miami at all..we'll see

If we rely on ownership to get this right none of us will be very happy.

Knowing Scoot was gonna be there, no. Without that knowledge, the KAT deal would be a "maybe" for me... but I know I am a much bigger KAT fan than almost everyone else here.
 
why are people saying the Blazers lied to Dame? How do you know that? I'm 100% they tried to get win now talent, but maybe the options weren't good or not even available (Mikal Bridges). So what should Cronin have done? Make a bad trade just to make a trade? That would have been stupid and i'm really relieved he didn't do that. Dame can't be that dumb, and i'm sure he's smart enough to understand that. Now it's on him to decide what he wants and where he wants

If we're trading Ant to Chicago for a 34 year old expiring contract DeRozen we should be getting the draft compensation/rookies not them.
 
I would be more hopeful if it was just Dame & Cronin. It's the fact Dame's agent will be there. For me that's very scary. Some of you are reveling with this whole thing. Not me. Dame is my favorite player, any team , in my lifetime. For me, my love of the game , and the team , has always started with the player.
