Perhaps Dame and his agent presented an idea or two for possible trade packages, three-team proposals, etc.

Showing his loyalty all the way - including best trade options to help himself AND the organization!

Not sure you really needed green font there. Cronin seems to have done a good job of proving adept at drafting, with a lot of help from Schmitz I am sure. As to trade construction and execution, seems to be lacking.

Chad and Dwight are 100% convinced that Dame is asking out.

Not based on any reports. They just are sure that's what is happening.
It's just common sense. Dame wouldn't bring his agent if that wasn't his intention. I'm not saying that there is nothing that Joe could say or do to change Dame's mind. If Joe had a trade or two set up and a free agent who is a client of Goodwin's then Dame might not ask out. I don't think Joe has anything like that.

The fact that we haven't seen any reporting makes me wonder if they're just going to get the trade done right now, during the meeting and the next thing we'll see about this is the reported trade. Sorry I'm just expecting the worst and hoping that if the worst is what's happening that we just get it over with.

Man Scoot and Sharpe better ball out, this is gonna suck at first seeing him somewhere else. Wish we had a better coach than Billups.

that Windhorst reporter guy coined the phrase, "Scoot might be better then any player they could trade for". The Blazers PR has stamped this quote to their forehead and are running around with it.
It's likely not wrong.

Well, a short meeting could be good... or bad

Long meeting is probably a good thing. Unless they're running through potential trade partners.
Or since his agent is there, they're trying to get the trade done as we wait for some news.

It needs to be a 3way, if we don’t get a young big back with picks for a second team all nba player I’m gonna be disappointed.

I don't think it could be done THAT fast.... no?

It could take a while to solicit offers... unless they already have been, but I think that would have leaked.

If Dame does get traded, you can start the timer on Sharpe and Scoot's tenure in Portland. It's will only be a matter of time , if they are great, before they want out too.

Cronin isn’t gonna take offers, Dame gave him 2-3 teams max and I’m assuming those 3 have already made offers during the past week. No way we are gonna take the PR hit of sending him somewhere he doesn’t wanna go for the best package. We are gonna treat him like he has a no trade clause.

Understandable that you're in a pessimistic place but we've been able to hold onto a lot of different guys for quite a while over the years. Most players don't start their careers and finish them on the same team but we held onto Sheed for a long time, we held onto Dame, we held onto Clyde, we held onto LaMarcus for nine seasons. I think we can expect both guys to be here through at least their first extensions if they are great and get the super max, if they are great and winning together I would expect us to keep them through their primes.

Maybe a three team deal sending Dame to Miami?

From the McCollum trade, as of now, we have 29-year-old Jerami Grant (assuming he resigns) and 23-year-old Kris Murray. Two 6' 8" power forwards, which was a position of need.

I give up and sleep. I prefer to think I will be mad when waking up.

That's believing that, one they will be great, and two, they will stay and not look for the bright lights of the big city.
